I have been injecting oxycodone tablets for quite some time now, as well as hydromorphone. The tablets i inject are made by Mallinckrodt, and i typically do 30-60 mgs per injection intravenously with an insulin syringe and cotton filtration ( i know this is bad, i plan on investing in Sterifilt filters soon). My specific question is about the Mallinckrodt 15mg blueish-white Oxycodone pill and its injection. I became a bluelight member today but i have previous looked thru many a thread to find an answer find results of 35% yes, 65% no. My question is do you heat these pills?? as i said above about 1/3 of Lighters say you should heat them, while 2/3s say no, you should not heat them, that oxycodone is perfectly water soluble, and that all heating does it release more of the harmful binders into your injection. I have been doing them for 2 years, and i have always cooked them up until. but seeing several Lighters who seem very knowledgable when it comes to the best and safest ways to inject saying that not only do they not need cooking, but that it is actually bad for you, made me rethink my method. im trying to get a final answer on this topic. Another side question related to this- if i no longer cook my tablets, will the injection water still have the blueish 'roxy' tint, or will it be completely clear liquid if i stop cooking? also i have always single filtered with cotton, and until i get some sterifilts, would it make a difference ( as far as being safer) to double or triple cotton filter? i have even heard some people say that if they dont have a wheel filter and sterifilt they will cotton filter no less than 4 times. i have started to care alot more about the safety of what im doing, so id rather be safer triple cotton filtering and losing 5 or 6 mgs in the cottons than getting a full 45 or 60mg shot that has more binders in it. i wish i lived in england where it seems that good filters are plentiful, but alas i live in the states where harm reduction and disease control are still concepts in there infancy. any info on these topics is greatly appreciate! also i apologize if this is not the right place to post, i just join bluelight today and im a total newb so forgive me! thanks for reading!
