Benzos Please help me with my xanax!!

i have been prescribed various benzo's for the past 2 years. i suffer from very bad panic attacks. I cant breathe and blackout quite frequently. I have been on every one of them except for valium. Im currently prescribed 90 1mg 3 times a day a mpnth. I go to a doctor for them. not a psychiatrist. I was wondering how i go about getting bumped up to the bars. keep in mind i am 23 and addicted to heroin. i dont take the xanax when im using. now that i am trying to get clean my panic attacks are very severe. and i have to take 1 and a half to 2 ones at a time. sometimes only once a say maybe twice. Can someone please assist me on how to go about asking my doctor for the bars. I can honestly say that im not addicted, nor do i abuse them. one addiction is enough. but takig only one mg doesnt cut it. and i think the bars would be perfect because i can take the exact mg that i feel needed. so all the advice i can get would be greatly sppreciated. Thanks again

Pretty soon two won't cut it.... Then 3 won't cut it... It's a very slippery slope your on and WDs from Benzs are brutal. I would try and manage as best you can tapering your opiate usage staying on those doses of benzos. You will not get a free ride with no pain in coming off you DOC, this is to be expected. Just be very very careful because a few persons have ended up becoming wickedly addicted to benzos from.... Doing what you are asking.


I would be honest with your doc about your situation. You might want to look in to suboxone.

we can't give you advice on what to ask the doctor to get what you want. that's effectively helpng you doctor shop and doesn't fly around here.

you say you're not addicted, but your post certainly reads as if you are. you're medicating your heroin wd's with benzos and they're starting to become ineffective so you want stronger benzos. that's messing with 2 addictions right there.

take care of yourself, seek alternate treatments for your anxiety. don't just rely on benzos.
