I really need some advice and some words of encouragement from the wise folks here, I'm starting to lose hope, and that's the last thing that I need right now. I've been addicted to oxycodone for about 3 years now. Habit started low, and I'm at my worst now, insufflating about 80-120 mg a day. I need to stop this for good, put this behind me, and become myself again, who I truly am. I know it's going to be so tough. I just love everything about life when I'm on the drug. I like people more, and I like myself more. I'm more efficient, more confident, and happier. I know however that continuing my drug use will only lead to an unfortunate ending, and I'm at a crossroads now where I can see myself spiraling out of control if I don't STOP. I refuse to do rehab, I know I can do this myself. I currently have 2 2mg strips of suboxone, and my plan for them is to take it for 4-5 days (In small doses, obviously), just to get through the acute withdrawal stage, and then take it completely on myself to battle it out until I'm back to who I need to be. I plan to also utilize loperamide (Imodium), which has been said to help tremendously as well. If you guys could comment on my plan, and maybe add some tips or suggestions on how to battle this out, I'd be tremendously grateful. Thanks

.. congratulations on making the decision to detox.. I came off a big habit last august.. .5g tarpd, 150mg methadone pd, 260 mgpd roxy, 8mg xanax... i'm not on anything now and feel great.. you can do this.. do you have any sort of a support network setup? After watching allot of people take the plunge and better their lives buy detoxing the opiates I would strongly suggest not taking the Imodium, it will make the symptoms better and that why people then become addicted to this.. it really just prolongs or prevents any detox at all and people become dependent on the lopi.. you can do this we can help.. I would go to a doctor and tell them your plan and ask about clonidine.. it really is a good send for so many people that detox, also explore any medications that they can give you for restless leg syndrome.. this is almost everybody's worst symptom... also take the time to familiarize yourself with Post Acute Withdrawl Syndrome as this will hit you really quick after the acute withdrawal symptom miracle happens.. If i did it
.. it really pretty key. keep us informed
