Please help me go through withdrawal

It is a very small possibility that you won't go through withdrawal but IME the methadone is just delaying the inevitable. No one really gets away scott free from an opiate habit.

Once you are detoxed do you have a plan in place of how you will stay sober?
 
Your all inspirational doing what your doing! come on guys it'll be tough but you can get the old you back!

it will be a brand new you. You will be much stronger than before. Overcoming an opiate habit is extremely hard and once you can do that you will pretty much know that you can achieve anything with enough work.
 
Hi jjones clonidine is classified as antihypertensive , lowers you blood pressure and workload on heart, in opiate addiction it helps prevent restless leg syndrome, and helps get rid of pounding heart rate, combats sympathetic nervous response: in fight or flight response m hope this info helps I was sent home on it from rehab awhile ago and it was helpful
 
Bono good to see you up and around. Still no big complaints. Usually I'm asleep by now but laying in the bed for 3 days caught up with me. Bought some black seed softgels and took 2000mg (bottle says you can safety take 5000 mg) and I wonder if that and vistaril has me wide awake. Felt better today than yesterday
 
Hey I hear ya on that. Insomnia is always a problem for me. This time a severe headache had a grip on me, but it is getting better. Where in time zone are you? I'm on east coast . Are you taking clonidine?
 
clonidine comes in .1mg and .2mg doses. Due to its effect I would follow the dosing instructions to a t. It will help you sleep.

Clonidine is really a good thing for opioid withdrawal. It takes the restlessness and insomnia away.. it's pretty safe, if .1mg doesn't work, take another after 45min or so... max daily dosage is up to .9mg ...

But gradually taper it if you have been on higher dosages! Rebound hypertension & anxiety.
 
Hey how are you doing so far today? Jjones hope you are still feeling ok? My problem is temptation. Phone already going off this morn I just haven't answered texts yet I want day 3
 
48 hours of abstinence from opiates was always the worst for me...Never really had GI issues aside from severe constipation when taking them. The worst part for me was the lethargy, guilt, and severe depression....Fortunately, you should be at least 80% better by day 5-6. Hang in there and never go back...Opiates have their time and place in medicine, but it took me YEARS of dabbling with them on and off to finally actually not enjoy them....
 
Everyone I am doing pretty good. No sleep last night. Going to doctor today to see if she can help.

Just left the doctor. Gave me clonidine and elavil (makes me sleep good) and was really accommodating and understanding
