Bupe Please help. i used oxy as a one off & wondering if i can take bupe now

about 8 hrs ago i had 80mg of oxy. i rarely do oxy & im not addicted to opiates.
i had some meth & drank last night & I really wanna take something to try to feel human again
I got given some 8mg bupe tablets. would it be ok for me to take some bupe now?

im worried about participated w/d but i dont know if u only get them if your a daily opiate user.
im assuming using oxy as a "one off" wont be enough to cause me to get participated w/d from taking bupe

i just chewed an 80 oxycontin about 8 hrs ago. im just wondering if u have to be addicted to opiates before u have to worry about participated w/d
i only have 2 8mg bupe tablets & just want something to help me deal with the come down from the speed & the hangover from drinking. Ive never had bupe before

if its ok for me to take one what would u recommend as a safe dose?

8 hours you say? I'd reckon it is okay to take another opiate now, if your still trying to come down from the meth. Just take smaller amounts first, maybe break that 8mg bupe into half or quarters, and take it slowly until you feel like it is effecting you just right.

The oxy should be, for the most part not depressing your CNS much anymore, and another opiate should be okay.

thanks for ya quick reply tricomb im not feeling real well. I rarely touch meth. & i know exactly why. cuz every time i take it i usually mix it with some alcohol & the next day puts me off doing it again in a hurry

ok do u thnk 4mg would be safe? when i rarely dose oxy I usually do 80mg & I do 400mg of codeine about once a week
if i break it into quarters how long should i wait before i have another dose if i still dont feel well>?

according to wikipedia opiate converter 8mg bupe = 160mg of oxy. shit that's alot.

i didnt sleep at all last night & i drank alot so u can imagine that i need some releif. I have a headache from lack of sleep!

are u sure that participated wd only happens to ppl who dose opiates daily or most days?

Well now that you already took some sub, can you come back when you get a chance and tell us how things worked out for you? Did you feel ok dosing 8 hours after that oxy?

This way, if anyone else tries searching for the same thing you tried to find for an hour, they'll at least come across your posts, which could very well hold the info they need!

Well, good luck OP. From the sounds of it, depending on your metabolism, you very might go into precip w/d. Not guaranteed, but I would have advised wait in a bit longer...

Hope you're okay! If you go into precip w/d the only thing I can recommend is benzo and a hot shower/bath. Taking more sub won't really help, although ime it hasn't made it worse.

BTW, 4mg is a LOT for someone who isn't a dependent opioid (ab)user. Try snorting like 2mg next time...

im not not precip w/d I actully feel really good & relaxed now. im very happy with the effects of Buprenorphine. My mates got heaps of them. I dont know why he still has an oxy habbit when he has a script for these. maybe ya get a tolerance to them after a while but yeah. im feeling relaxed now.
btw ive taken a total of 8mg now. I might have another one in an hr or so too.
these pills seem like they would help greatly for opiate w/d.
im not sure how bad the w/d is from these though. not as bad as oxy ofcourse but i think it would be easy to quit as long as ya tapered em.

i still probably would have preferred some benzos though

Well, that's good to here OP. Glad you okay and enjoy yourself. BTW, I feel the same about bupe. Everything concerned, I'm lucky enough to consider it one of my favorite all around opioids, despite it's mixed agonist/antagonist action.

well ive had 16mg now. dont worry. i'll take it easy with them. i know its a high dose ive had.
i might actually ask my mate for a few of his cuz ive been trying to quit codeine. i rekon i could completely eliminate atleast the physical wd from codeine with bupe.
im impressed. like i said i havnt tried it before. it lacks euphoria but i just dont feel sick anymore

Yea, you should really chill on taking any more bupe... 16 is a really high dose, especially for someone who doesn't have a tolerance. Plus, given the drug's dose/response curve (the more you take the less effect each added mg has), means that taking any more than 16 in your case won't really add to the high you're already experiencing.

Do you notice a bid difference between 8 and 16? You might, given that your recently too another, full agonist opioid. Next time you try bupe, without any other opioids having been enjoyed recently, I'd pay attention to this. I, and most others I've talked to, seem to find bupe most enjoyable at 8mg or <8mg.

Totally should pick some up for the future tho

^^i have a natural tolerance to most drugs. yesturday i had over 100mg of valium & didnt feel a thing.
is there a dose curb? cuz I was thihnking about just taking 1 more. 2 got 2 left. i should leave em for tommorow but im really enjoying there effect.

i wanna take another 1 or 2. im finding it quite pleasureable. it seems alot more sedating than oxy.
im not close to ODing or anything. I dont even feel the slightest bit nauseous.

I had 0.1 grams of meth last night & i always find uppers to be strong but downers i can handle easily except pot. im not touching speed anymore it fucks me up to much im still grinding my teeth. its been ages since ive had any speed & im not doing it any more. I find the oxy i had last night to be more my kind of thing.
i'll look up on wikipedia about dosages. i know little about bupe & i dont wanna put myself in danger but i really feel like taking more

would taking another 16mg really hurt me?

obviously theres going to be more a difference between taking 8-16 than there is taking 16-32 but thats like that with all drugs

is there anyone out there who takes doses like 30mg? or am i just insane?
ive had 16mg. it only feels like ive had 60mg of oxy. but if it has a ceiling dose i'll save em for tommorow. this is just a one off thing im not using it to taper of opiates. im not addicted to opiates......... im just trying to relax. 2 or 3 beers would fuck me up more than 1mg of bupe has. i think its pretty harmless imo

im still grinding my teeth from that ice i had last night. fuck ice. its the shittest drug it fucks me up to much. id be happy if i never took the stuff again. I feel sorry for the ppl who have a habbit with it

yeah my friend had a whole heap of them. i dont know why ppl waste there money on oxy. he has a script for bupe. imo oxy isnt that much better. if ya took enough bupe u could get a high about as good as 80mg of oxy i rekon
i might get some off him & save them for emergencies like for hangovers but im so sick of drinking too

edit: I couldnt help myself i had to have the last 2. (so thats 32mg) this is the first time ive been comin down off speed & alcohol & am actually enjoying myself. If i wasnt getting over last night i wouldnt have dosed so much. i had a cocktail of valium, oxy, alcohol & meth last night along with an energy drink & my pointless smoking habbit. I think i would have had a nervous break down if it wasnt for the bupe today. Biggest binge ive been on for a very long time. I wont be going on a bender like that any more although i never really got to smashed throughout the night. im someone who can drink after taking valium for some unknown reason

I'm skipping all the other post because I don't feel like reading them. But the answer is No, you will not go through Forced Withdrawals. You wont because your not addicted to pain pills so it will not get you sick. Suboxone is very potent if your opiate shy, but if you can handle a oxy 80 im sure you can handle 2-4mg of suboxone. What was your ROA? under the tongue or instranasal?

Wonder how OP is doing on 32mg of subs :/ Not a smart idea, also there is a ceiling effect with bupe, anything over 8mg is mostly a waste. Also, how were you taking these? Snorting them or leaving them under your tongue? Your in for a horrible time if you overdid the bupe for the next 48 hours.

and for the future, with suboxone, the lower the dose the better. this is one drug where "less is more". You could have got off fine doing 1-2mg suboxone and think that this probably would have helped you much more than taking 4-16mg...

Spot on right there. 16 or 32mg of bupe is not going to make you feel any "higher" than 2-4mg usually. In fact it might even make the high objectively worse, as it will do nothing but make you more nauseous and make the side effects of the bupe more pronounced.

In fact, the magic number given for bupe is usually 2mg. Whether they mean 2mg ingested or 4mg with a 50% BOA is your guess. But usually the key to getting the best feelings off of bupe is taking as little as possible. Buperenorphine acts MOST like an agonist at doses <2mg, and begins acting more and more antagonistically as the dose goes up.

As for dosing buperenorphine 8 hours after taking an opiate....Addict or not that is not a very good idea. I believe precipitated withdrawals has to do less with how much of an addict one is, and more to do with just how many opiates are in ones brain at a given time. Just my 2 cents, but if you rip a bunch of oxy off of your opi receptors, its going to feel just as bad whether youre an "addict" or not.

anything over 4mg for your first time using bupe is retarded. 32mg is close to an over dose. I remember my first time taking bupe when I just had a tolerance for hydrocodone, all I took was 1mg piece of a film under my tongue and I was FUCKED up. People need to learn to be more careful. 32mg first time, facepalm.
