For fucks sake to Luude and whoever else is making negative remarks. You may have disagreed with her recently but she has done more for Bluelight then you ever will. Give it a fucking break, she has been a very important part of this place for a relatively long time.
 
We never really talked, exchanged a few Pm's but that was about it. All i can do is pretty much Ditto what everyone else has said.

You get so riled up, can no one here show displeasure with her moderator duties? Having been around since 2005, im fairly confident in my ability to make an assessment of the nazi like censorship she enforced on this place. AusDD is a fucking ghost town in comparison to what it was, back in the day when threads had more than 2 minutes to develop, perhaps drifting a little outside the "guidelines" BUT still leading to decent discussion. That died in the arse when lil devil rocked up.

If you don't want the global community to comment, then maybe this "farewell discussion" should be shared in PM's.

To think people have complained and protested for my post to be removed is nothing short of pathetic! What next, are you all going to write into the Labor party protesting Julia Gillard's actions in ousting K Rudd!?!?!?!?!
 
Luude: AusDD did not die off when lil became staff, I was lurking in 2005 and joined 2006 and even the mods who admit that AusDD has changed note that it has been more recent then four years ago.

It's fine to share your opinion, but it's the way in which you do it that's important. At least that's what I believe, if I had a problem with her moderating then I wouldn't make a post like yours, I would make my opinions known in a more articulated way and then at least wish her well or something.

Anyway, not going to continue this discussion. If you don't like her, don't post in her thread. Problem solved.

farewell and thanks for all of the time and energy you have invested in BL over the years. This online community has been able to provide such a service to the public because of the committment of people like you.

so where did she go? she used to be on quite often and all of a sudden shes gone and doesnt even show up for her own going away thread?
 
....life is definitely infinitely more important than BL, so it would make sense for someone to tend to those matters instead of the frivolity that often ensues over here....

besides, I can think of plenty of other mods to hang shit on that are by far more intolerably staunch and disagreeable (none in AusDD of course).... lil might have been prone to her bouts of crankiness, but at least she seemed to move on from those instead of remaining volatile. and like anyone, she deserves a life of contentment and happiness :)
 
In all honesty this forum wouldn't be an easy forum to mod - so i hand it to her, she did what she had to do to keep things running smoothly with the other well dedicated mods of this forum along side of her. The mods have gotta be a little tough in here, and what comes with the territory is the disapproval of some. We can't please them all but we surely do our best.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kind words. Bluelight has been a major part of my life for so long and it wasn't an easy decision to step down to concentrate on real life endeavours.

Bluelight and its cause will always be close to my heart and I still believe its HR impact is vitally important. AusDD is fortunate to have the hard working, knowledgeable and committed mods of Phase, Psilo and Sykik and I take my hat off to them all for the hard work they do in the public domain and also behind closed doors. They were all a pleasure to work with and I know the forum is in good hands because of their tireless dedication.

Special mention must also go out to Hoptis who has supported not only myself but the Australian Drug Discussion for so long. He is kind and caring man who is selfless in his pursuit of an always improving Bluelight - we're all lucky to have him on board.

I'll still be popping my head in from time to time but just like all good jobs a holiday is eventually needed. It was a pleasure working for all you guys in an attempt to keep the forum running smoothly and I look forward to seeing things from your side of the fence for a while.
