Tomb Raider was so crazy and innovative when it came out. It was like "I can run around all over the place like this???"
At least for me it was the first game that made me feel like I was playing in an open-world format.

I think maybe Doom made me feel a bit like that but for sure Tomb Raider.
Do you remember Crash Bandicoot? Had hours of fun on that too. And Spyro!

I never played Spyro but I played the shit out of Crash Bandicoot. Loved that game.

Spyro was pretty awesome too, as was Abe's Odyssey, Point Blank, and Ridge Racer.

The resident evil games I loved...castlevania...and probably my favorite for the ps1 was metal gear solid

twisted metal 2, suikoden, final fantasy tactics, tekken series, vandal hearts, parappa the rappa(even if it only takes an hour to beat) VR baseball '97(best baseball game for PSX) and madden 2000 i think? was my all time favorite madden, it was the year the browns were an expansion team

sadly a lot of the old games still worlds better then the newer games, and the quality wasnt so hit or miss either
i posted that list yesterday of all the good games on old school consoles and i probably remembered 50 more when i was done
I dont think from the xbox to the 360/ps3 i can list 50 great games total

You know what's missing on the ps4? A decent Olympics game. I loved those on the old systems.

Man theres a few sports games missing. Xbox doesnt have a sports game anymore, boxing is lacking, olympic games are mia, college baseball is mia, college hockey, college football
But i dont think the college games cant exist anymore so that might have killed all those
