Amateur Porn Leads to PS4 Bannings
A couple with the online username “Darckobra12” have been banned from the Sony PlayStation 4 live-streaming service through Twitch TV and The Playroom app, reports the Daily Mail. The male in the footage stripped naked his passed out intoxicated girlfriend or wife in front of the camera and then proceeded to fondle her.
The incident, which lasted more than 15 minutes, went directly against Twitch’s Terms of Use.
After Twitch discovered the video, the company reviewed accounts created by other users and found numerous additional bannable offenses including people brandishing weapons and a man having sex with his partner. Those accounts were banned as well and Twitch took to its Twitter social account, @TwitchTVSupport, and posted two tweets reminding users that non-gaming content is most definitely not permitted.
The service was conceived as a way for gamers to share their video gaming experience and review their game-play. The PS4, and Microsoft’s Xbox One, are both designed to offer live streaming, but the PS4 is the only one currently set up to provide the service.
Critics are baffled that Sony and Twitch didn’t realize that these types of incidents could happen given the high number of amateur webcam pornos on the Internet.
