Playstation 3

^Don't get me wrong, I think it is great that MS is replacing 360s for the problem, however, I would be pretty fucking irritated if I had to send my 360 back three, four, five times before getting one that worked.

I had three playstation 2s in my time, and all three got the infamous "Disc Read Error", and sony wouldnty do a thing about it. At least Microsoft is standing behind there product and keeping consumers happy.

Playstation 3s don't have that problem.

Or do their games even chart?

Actually, I can think of a lot of instances where PS3 games charted higher than any Xbox 360 titles.

If i was a developer i would be scared spending all that money on a blu ray game, and not being able to even make money on it. In these days of extreme production costs in gaming, if a game cant sell X amount of copys, they lose money......

Developers aren't avoiding making games for the PS3. Now that they're over the original hurdle of programming for the PS3's complex architecture, future releases are going to be amazing.

Heh, does anyone know how/if I can erase the predictive thing on my PS3 and erase all the terms I have used? Keep getting embarrassedwhen mates are around.

This year will be a good year for games and I cannot wait as I have fuck all games for the PS3. I've just been playing the same old ones.

Get The Orange Box!!

Portal is badass, and I'm hooked on Team Fortress.

Also, the bowling game that you can download from the Playstation store is really good. That one does allow you to play your own music from the hard drive while you're bowling.

^^
Agreed on the Orange Box. The reviews saying the PS3 version was sub-par almost scared me away, but I got it anyways and I'm thoroughly happy with the purchase.

Whats funny about the red ring of death situation is microsoft will replace your 360 for FREE for up to three years. I had three playstation 2s in my time, and all three got the infamous "Disc Read Error", and sony wouldnty do a thing about it.

That problem is easily fixable with a screwdriver, q-tips, rubbing alcohol, and the ability to read/use a search engine. Google it, about a year ago I thought my PS2 had finally crapped out, but I opened that bitch up and fixed it with instructions I found online. Works good as new now. If I remember correctly it's just the laser lens being too dirty to read the discs properly (either way, it's a simple repair).

wow u sony fans are hardcore, is that what people get like when they dont have good online gaming on a 4-600$ system?

oh and by the way ive had 1 red ring of death and i got a BRAND NEW 360 by UPS postage paid in a week........and have never had the problem again.....
luv my 360

Sony fans? I'm not a Sony fan. I've played both the XBox 360 and the Playstation 3 A LOT and I love them both. I could play Halo 3 as long as any PS3 game, that's not the point. The point is that you're saying the PS3 isn't worth buying, which is completely false.

wow u sony fans are hardcore, is that what people get like when they dont have good online gaming on a 4-600$ system?

Ask us that when Playstation Home comes out later this year.

I bought the system and thats the way i feel...... my 360 kicks the crap out of my
PS3, all im saying is i bought it expecting something better and revolutionary than what i had, and i was very dissapointed. Mabey u guys didnt see in my original post where i said i bought this system instead of a wii. Anyway mabey i will feel different when resistance fall of man 2 comes out i dont know. Hopefully Final Fantasy is a good game, and im not into metal gear, so, im feeling just a little ripped off from sony when I bought the system for so much money. You know what its a fully capable system im just disapointed in the games so far. Sony should have put way more effort into getting Decent games out in the first two years of the system life cycle. I bought Assasins Creed on PS3 thinking the graphics would be better, and many times in the game when i would look at a wall the screen would go completely blue. Other times in the game at key moments with no save points (Boss Battles) i would fall through the map and the game would freeze. Ive had the same thing happen to me MANY times in Ninja Gaiden Sigma also. I went and bought Assasins Creed on the 360 to compare, NONE OF THESE PROBLEMS. So like i said im sure its a capable system, im just pissed theres so much dust on it.

i fell through the map on assasins creed in the first 2 minutes and it unlocked achievements when i died:\.

Yeah if you're buying a gaming system just for its high def movie player, something is wrong. Funny how the PS3 has been out forever and yet still so many DISSAPOINTING games. I bought a PS3 instead of a Wii this christmas, and honestly i feel like i threw four hundred dollars in the garbage can. I still play my 360
all the time and unfortunately, the PS3 just sits there. With blu ray movies being almost thirty dollars, i dont see the value. I am still buying DVD's just to dave a buck or two and playing them in Upconversion 1080i resolution on my 360. Ive played Resistance, I've played Ratchet and Clank, and im probably going to waste my money on MGS4. None of those games can hold a candle to such blockbusters as Bioshock, Gears Of War, Mass Effect, Halo 3. With Too Human and Gears of War 2 on the horizon, i doubt my PS3 will get ANY use this year. I think the only game that i'll enjoy on this POS system is Gran Turismo HD if it ever comes out.

You're still buying DVD's? Good for you. Some people want the highest quality available. How long did you hang on to VHS when DVD came out just because you were saving a few bucks buying VHS tapes when DVD's debuted at around $25?

Save a few bucks, get less quality, that's fine. Just don't hate on those who are spending the money to buy the best of the best, sucka.

PS3 Holla =D

Like i said i have PS3 and ive bought a couple movies for the blu ray, but i buy between 8-12 movies a month (brand new) and i have a collection of over 300 DVDs so yeah im not willing to ditch them yet. Out of like 8-12 movies ill only buy the BLOCKBUSTERS in blu ray, (Transformers, Resident Evil Extinction, 300) but other than that DVDs look perfectly fine in 1080i upconversion..... So when you buy movies like i do yeah i dont mind saving money on DVD's, and so does most of america, and im not hating on ANYBODY, I'm hating on my PS3 for being a giant waste of space in my living room.

DVD in 1080i upconversion vs Blu Ray in 1080P = BIG DIFFERENCE

You may want to upgrade your TV from the 27 inch tube "HD TV" you bought at Wal Mart.

actually ihave a 52 inch 1080p funny how i never said anything about my tv and you automatically assume i have a Piece of shit tv, actually ill post a pic of it right now so u can drool over it.....
