So why the crazy games?
Why do I resist you?
I know you’d be so happy to know
That I feel like a child laughing her head off
When I look in your eyes
That you make my every day better
That I love smoking cigarettes with you
That when you make sexual comments
I really don’t think you’re a pig
That I know you are playing those songs
Just for me
That you feel that romantic
That I could feel it for you 10 times more
That your positivity
Has affected my attitude, my daily grunge
That when you ask me to dance
I really do want to
That when you sing Christmas songs
I think it’s romantic
That I like that scar by your mouth
That for once, I feel like I’m getting the better end of the deal
I don’t want to pass you by
Without you knowing
That I’m sitting here
Writing about you
You’re my ray of sunshine

That I like that scar by your mouth
love, real love, is loving everything about a person, even their flaws. and i think you've captured that very gracefully. this poem made me smile, because that was me thinking those same things once upon a time. the way you feel so weightless, so invincible, so floaty, when you're at the prime of your love for someone.
i miss that. *sigh*
