Plants take their place in the armies of the world, standing tall and long through the dimensions of the night. Time, time, time, it's on their side.

See, every one that dies feeds its mate and its descendant, and they grow strong from the carcass in their belly and on their skin. Their roots never forget that they came from the womb of the earth, and they don't falter no matter how many individuals might fall. They don't forget their strength.

Kill one and echoes reverberate through their minds and their hearts. Their revenge isn't swift but it's decidedly final.

See, we'll feed them too one day.

Rags
are what clothe us and separate us from the beasts. They put our shame on display for the universe to see. They make God laugh at us because we're small and stupid and we have less power than we know.

See, every one of us that dies feeds a million different lifeforms we've spent our short lives fighting, and we feed their mates and their descendants. They grow strong from our carcass in their bellies while we wear their skin, and those who love us falter when we fall. We don't know our own strength.

Kill us and echoes reverberate through the minds and the hearts of those who are left behind. Their revenge is swift, and decidedly short-lasting.

See, we'll feed them too one day.

^^I agree very clever, makes me think. The colours you used remind me of "blue sky above - earth below". Makes me think how we have complicated our lives. Very profound!
