I'm on 800mg tapentadol per day and 24mg methadone. I've not taken 5 day's worth of methadone since the tapentadol has held me and I'm going to down it in a couple of hours. I just thought I'd ask if this is an OD risk? I was originally on 62mg methadone alone and double dosing was perfectly safe (did it probably hundreds or even thousands of times). I've been on the methadone/tapentadol combo for about maybe 6 weeks now so I don't really know where my tolerance is at.
I won't take today's tapentadol though, or maybe a little to prevent the noradrenaline issues.
I would appreciate any advice I can get.
I really wish they had supervised consumption rooms in the UK because when you're alone and taking a new drug for the first time or a different dose or just a new combination of drugs it really would be safer to have medically trained nurses on hand to make sure nothing goes wrong. I really don't see why people would be opposed to this, especially in a supposedly civilised society where we have amazing technology and socialist welfare to help the vulnerable disabled. With all this we're still so backward. I just don't understand what's wrong with people.
