Has anyone heard of this?

Psychiatrist prescribing PLACEBO pills that have the exact shape, color, imprinting, and identification?

Literally. Everything is the same except the active ingredients are different and patients aren't being told of this.

This thread is directed at AMPHETAMINE - ADDERALL IR, and DEXEDRINE IR placebo tablets.

welcome to bluelight! we don't use "swim."

haven't heard of what you are describing. sounds like a little bit of paranoia.

I'd hardly call it paranoia. There's real-life factors that aren't being accounted for here that could easily fend off paranoia tags.

That's why I've posted about it.

Unless you have actually done some reliable chemical tests on the pills in question (at least a Marquis/Mecke/Mandelin/Simons/Robadope pentad, even better is TLC, LC or GC) - I'd say you're being paranoid (which amphetamine overuse is known to exacerbate) ... I have heard of fake branded pills, but they are almost always sold with active yet nonsanctioned ingredients. For instance, fake Xanax with phenazepam in it, or fake Oxycontin with heroin. I have never heard of pills being sold or seized (aside from the obvious ecstacy tablets) that are totally inactive.

I also know that amphetamine tolerance can develop to the point where it "feels" like it's not working, but believe me, it is...

Doctors are definitely not allowed to do this. If they are, they should be reported. The prescription of inactive pills to act as a placebo is not allowed.

Makes me wonder whether you're the control in a scientific experiment. There sure is a lot of paperwork getting filed about each individual consumer, surely they have the intent to learn something more about our behavior. Maybe you inadvertently signed up for some program.

I'd take legal action if I got prescribed fake pills. Government drug dealers shouldn't be allowed to pull shady-shit.

What a stupid idea, clearly. You'd basically be letting lose a bunch of legal junkies, unknowingly craving hits. My Dexamphetamine withdrawal can be enough to bug me when I just try to do a tolerance detox every now and then. I'm on a comparatively low dose to many.

Got proof? Do you have more of the actual pills? If so, a picture would be appreciated. I'd like to see this supposedly bunk medication, especially if its got the same branding and stuff like you said. Were they prescribed to you, or did you buy them from someone else? If thats the case, I supposed you could have gotten ripped off by someone selling fakes. But in all, this sounds very unlikely...
