We're freaking out, man. There's one more thing for marijuana smokers to be paranoid of in this world, and it's a doozy. No, we're not talking cops, conspiracy theories, parents, or any of the standard terror-inducing buzz-kills. We're talking about the pizza delivery driver.

Frederick Smith of Aurora, Colorado has a medical marijuana card for pain he suffers resulting from a bike accident. Last Friday night, after a long day at work, Smith ordered a pizza. While his nine-year-old daughter was upstairs taking a bath, Smith smoked a quick bowl. Pizza delivery guy shows up, drops off the pie, and leaves.

Shortly thereafter, Smith tells Westword, he heard loud pounding on his door. He opened it to find an Aurora Police officer; he explains he'd been called by a Papa John's driver who said there were small children around marijuana, and (per policy) came to check on the situation.

Oh my god it is medicinal in colorado! Why are people still freaking out about it? It's like someone calling the cops on you for taking your pain meds in front if a child
 
What a fucking jerk. I've delivered to heaps of people stoned, and at least one guy who was on something like a heavy dose of shrooms. "Did we order pizza! Whoooaa... thanks, man... *long stare, as if I just turned into the angel Gabriel before his eyes*. One guy even tipped me with weed. They're the nicest customers you'll ever have and they're not hurting anybody.

I can understand the driver's concern for doing it around a kid, though I don't understand how he knew about the kid if she was upstairs, but come on. Calling the fucking police? Why not just ask the guy yourself? Total asshole.
 
I wonder how many bricks are going to be thrown through this guy's window with death threats now..
 
You know, if Papa John's knows what's good for them, they'll institute a company policy to not allow that shit. That's PRETTY large chunk of your consumer base, right there.
 
I mainly posted this because it's a lesson for BL'ers to watch out when they are smoking weed and a UPS/Fedex person, pizza delivery, etc. comes knockin' on your door...

I know after reading this I will think twice about lighting a doob before the pizza guy comes.
 
Pizza guy probably wanted a hit, couldn't get one so he threw a tantrum and called the cops.

Haha i was a pizza delivery boy back in the day. Best job ever for real. Smoke bowls on the road and collect tips.

This dude was really unlucky but it sounded like he didnt get in much trouble so its all gooooood. What a doucher pizza boy.

Leave people to their fucking business and keep your dirty little nose out of it. You job is to deliver pizza...so just do that and fuck off is what i say. He prolly got a shit tip or something and was feelin a little salty.

haha, I wouldnt worry about us UPS guys. We're in too big of a hurry to give a shit and we all do drugs anyway
 
pretty reasonable response on the police side... I live in Colorado and I can say that most LEO's really don't care as long as you are responsible.

As for the comparison made above, I also wouldn't take my pain meds in front of my child (if I had one).

Yeah, I don't get how he knew either :S also calling in the cops is so ridiculously over the top. Some people eh.
