Sorry for the long post, YOU CAN SKIP TO THE CORE OF THE QUESTION!!

A little background:
I had used piracetam for a while a few years ago but i didnt get any effect. Then many things happened and with them came heroin.
Now i am on Methadone maintenance 20mg every morning, i (sadly) still feel the urge to use heroin and in the last weeks i have smoked/snorted it 2-4 times a week. Im now sick of hurting myself and if i am a kind of person who loves psychoactives and altered states i better find something that makes my life better, not worse.
Lately i started to get curious about Nootropics and drugs that are supposed to be good for you health and brain, i was fascinated by Huperzine A and its capacity to improve memory imagination and trigger lucid dreams, but as it is extremely difficult to find where i live i decided to give a 2nd chance to piracetam. So i went to the pharmacy and i bought it.

A 40 pills pack with 1.200mg piracetam in each.

As soon as i got the pack i dropped 3.600 worth of piracetam with a tablespoon of soy lechitine. I then went for lunch to my psychotherapist house(she is also my dear friend) and noted, when she asked me to help her write a little composition for a flyer, that my focus was overly increased and this was the beginning of a long series of good effects. Long story short: PIRACETAM WORKS FANTASTICALLY! so when home i took another pill making total 4.800mg.
i later in the evening had some heroin and a couple mg of Olanzapine, so these drugs chilled out my speedy brain and allowed me to get some rest.
The quality of sleep was terrible and i woke up many many many times during the night arriving exhausted to the next morning.

Early in the morning i took 3.600mg piracetam with my lechitine and some coffee and i was again awake and focused full force.
i spent the day going out for lunch with my parents and then snorting H, listening to music and doing researches on internet.
At night i was tired and kinda bored so i went to bed at 9:30PM, i woke up at 11:00 thinking it was like 5 or 6 in the morning because i wasnt sleepy at all and it seemed that i slept a lot more than i actually had. Then i realized it and started the hell of insomnia, i tried everything in order too sleep and except maybe for a couple brief passing-outs i am here now at 6:30 writing all these with the help of my daily 3.600mg piracetam and a red bull.

HERE THE CORE OF THE QUESTION:

Here is all what i took (and didnt work at all) in hope to reverse piracetam insomnia:

-10mg Melatonin
-1 magnesium pill
-5mg Olanzapine (no tolerance to it)
-1mg Clonazepam(again no tolerance)
-75mcg Clonidine(just little tolerance)

How is possible that all this stuff didnt put me to sleep. i actually find piracetam insomnia far worse than amphetamine insomnia, speed at least has a crash and at that point you could sleep, maybe with some benzo help. Its like piracetam totally shuts off the sleep modality of your brain.

All this is frustrating, because piracetam could be a really fantastic Nootropic.

Any suggestion on how to overcome piracetam insomnia? Maybe we need something more specific.

Piracetam is a glutamate allosteric "agonist" an has some effect on the cholinergic system, maybe we need a NMDA antagonist like Ketamine to restore healty glutamate levels or maybe we should use choline or some kind of cholinergic drug.

Any suggestion is welcome and personal experiences are Super Welcome!

sorry again for mistakes and typos but im 2 nights sleep deprived 8o

Indeed choline supplements are often advised to be used together with piracetam, as it increases the beneficial effects - can't say for certain if it'll help with insomnia though.

Something strange happened just after i typed that last post, i felt a sudden rush of mellow dreamish brain (de)activation so i went to bed and slept peacefully till almost now. I have to say i am still hangover from all the sleeping meds i took but i am now under piracetam's reign. It was like i was taken away on a dissociative and reassociative wave on piracetam comeup. Very strange.
As i said before i take a tablespoon and half of soy lechitine as a choline and other nutrient sources, at the moment i dont have anything better.

Can some of you elaborate please how the choline adjunct changes the piracetam experiences, apart from headaches prevention. Does it make speedier or calmer? Does it have a completely different effect or maybe nothing even noticeable?

cheers!!!
