i started taking piracetam (1g) with my daily dose of SJW. Planning to keep this going for a couple of months until I roll again.

Has anyone who takes piracetam regularly experienced fairly bad headaches/migraines?

Aside from SJW, not really taking much else aside from vitamins and a bit of caffeine.

yep it gives me Bad ones! Right in the Frount of my head. and they are hard to shake! I hurd someone say to only take it every other day... But I am New! So Someone with more Info should post on how to fix that, if there is a way. Just wanted to let you know that it does happen to others

I've taken it many times from times with only 1g a day to other days when ive taken 4 grams throughout the day.
I've never noticed any sort of headache and it helps me concentrate in my classes and studying is a lot easier (college student).

try to space it out 400-800mg per dose in multiple doses throughout the day. i've found that i get headaches when i take more than 1200mg in a single dose as well.

I got headaches with piracetam until I started taking choline donators (such as choline, lecithin, DMAE, or centrophenoxine) in conjunction with it.

Agreed, it's essential to take piracetam with some kind of choline source; I'm of the opinion that piracetam exerts its effect by being an acetylcholine releaser. Choline citrate works for me and it's fairly cheap, too. Also, you might want to limit your caffeine intake, because piracetam tends to potentiate stimulants (sometimes to a scary extent, heh).

if you cant make it to the vitamin store for some choline just eat one egg each day, eggs naturally have a good ammount of choline in them. This is what I have been doing with piracetam and I have never had bad headaches, (but I never had any headaches with only piracetam anyway.)

As everyone is saying, take choline with it (choline bitartrate, citrate, etc). Taking this will make your headaches go away

Take lecithin with it, it prevents the headaches.

(Lecithin is a specific form of choline; all forms of choline work but lecithin is the easiest to find)

thanks, picked some up. will try it out going forward. i think i wont be rolling again till dec, so i'll probably only take piracetam every now and then.

I take around 3000 mg of piracetam a day and I take lecithin with it. I've been doing this for a month and a half and I never get any headaches from it. In fact, I can't say I notice any negative side effects at all. I use it both to potentiate my rolls and for it's brain boosting effects. Some piracetam and a coffee make morning classes here at college much better.

i tried this yesterday, seemed to work fine, no headaches. i skipped piracetam completely today, got some pretty bad migraines.

i'm wondering if the SJW has something to do with it.

try taking more choline. I also take magnesium to reduce the headaches. Don't know how it works but seems it does.
