piracetam dosing regimen?

I recently acquired some piracetam and started taking 800mg every morning a couple of days ago. I was wondering how many times a day people usually take it. I've read the amounts of nootropics that people take in a day, but they've just been the total quantity consumed in a day instead of how much they take at a time.

Also, on a side note, has anyone noticed any negative effects from stopping piracetam use after regularly taking it for an extended period of time? I know in order to be classified as a nootroic the side effects have to be very minimal but I wasn't sure if there was anything like a mental dullness or something similar that results from stopping piracetam use or any other nootropics for that matter.

There's a whole thread dedicated to nootropics, use search engine
Anway, I usually dose around 800 mg in the morning with no further dosing througout the day. I see a lot of people dosing multiple times throughout the day but have never felt that necessary for myself. As far as quitting: I was on a regular dosing regiment for a good portion of my undergrad career and then stopped as soon as I graduated and did not notice any negative side effects whatsoever.

My experience is almost the same. I used it for quite a while, then quit, then recently when I started a job again with which I could make use of the cognitive effects like enhanced multitasking I started again. All of this without side-effect.

I take a gram a day, then nothing the rest of the day (starting in the morning). For two reasons actually: I am done working at 4 pm anyway and it does get my gears turning a lot so I wouldn't want to drag that deeper into the evening worrying about insomnia (even mild), or just not feeling like calming down and getting to bed. There's also perhaps a third reason and that is that I never feel a moment like: damn it's wearing off right about now. The most extremely noticeable effects have faded already by the way.
Tomorrow morning I am taking 1.5g, I want to see if I have developed tolerance and what will happen at higher doses.

With both phenibut (which is hardly a nootropic at all but a mood enhancer) and piracetam I have read about people taking multiple grams a day and upping on through. With phenibut it's not smart at all to push your doses unless you like a dirty slow comedown after getting physically dependent on it. With piracetam it is probably not dangerous but I just don't want to push it to squeeze all the juice out of the potential like a mofo.

I usually dose around 2000mg once or twice a day depending on what I'm doing - though I don't always take piracetam (I take it in spurts). I use that dose amount for some anti-coagulant effects (I have clotting defects), and find it to work better for small but noticeable increase in memory retention. When I'm in a good state of mind but still with a small amount of anxiety/stress, I noticed it would help with being able to handle stress or anxious situations. I don't notice this effect when I'm feeling down, and honestly find it to make a depressed state slightly worse. I also experience decreased sleep time while using piracetam, resulting in me not being able to sleep more than 6 hours/sleeping in shorts spurts after that period while feeling very restless. That effect seems to last for only a day or two afterward discontinuing use. I haven't noticed any lasting negative effects, or really any last effects after discontinuing use.

I believe piracetam has been seen in others to make them feel negatively, like with Jamshyd, but I think it is while using it, not post use.

You're a hemophiliac?

Anyway a negative effect I think piracetam has is something my friend noticed when we had experimented for a while: it's like I become more robotic as cognitive enhancement takes place, as if the rational aspect of it takes away from the emotional.
Something else I have read recently was someone saying something like "on piracetam you are still stupid only more quickly". In some ways I am quite capable on piracetam and function better in terms of things like multi-tasking, but in other ways it makes me dumbed down of - perhaps - things outside of the domain of those multitude of tasks.
