Piracetam being re-classifed as a Drug by FDA

I don't understand. On cerebralhealth's website, they are still selling bulk piracetam. I just got some last week. How is it they've "stopped selling" it?

I purchased Synaptine(Pill form) from CerebralHealth a few months back, and when trying to purchase some more, their PayPal redirect says "This recipient is currently unable to receive money." So when I contacted them, they claimed they have run out of stock.

if you copied pasted that.. Then this is indeed bullshit, phizer is spelled Pfizer

Piracetam isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It's 99.99(repeating of course)% most likely that these guys are trying to move product faster than currently. UNLESS these select people know whats going on behind scenes with the FDA and Congress. I wouldn't trust ANY vendor talk till there's actual proof of ACTUAL legislation against it

I have only purchased Piracetam through 2 different vendors, and both of them have stopped selling/manufacturing them so there is definitely something going on. Maybe the FDA or Pfizer is noticing a spike in sales and wants to get in on the profit, since they can markup this product huge by making it a prescription only drug.

My question is what Pfizer has anything to do with this. I mean ANY AND EVERY pharmaceutical company would want to get their hands on it, if what you say about spiking sales and whatnot.

Could it be that those vendor simply ran out of stock??

I mean, I did a simple google search and I've found more vendors than I have fingers and toes that are still vending and shipping to the US AND that are US based.

I'm calling shenanigans on all this. I mean, we've all seen the state of the RC market currently and vendors will literally do anything to get increased sales

http://www.fda.gov/ICECI/EnforcementActions/WarningLetters/ucm225605.htm - I think this was the warning letter to Primaforce/smartpowders.com who was using it as leverage to sell more.

Your theory is correct about vendors would do anything to increase sales Swerlz, however the fact that I cannot buy products from them, wouldn't that be counter productive?

Anyways, the 2 vendors I mentioned in my earlier posts will not sell or 'manufacture' anymore. Hopefully all of this is just shenanigans.

Maybe the vendors didn't file an application with the FDA? You have to get your product approved to market it publicly... I noticed several other reputable US sources carry SNS brand, and other brands... The thing is I think they did the proper application/filing processes to market their product. Based on that link you gave me, it says nothing about piracetam being unapproved, instead it says that the proper filing/application paperwork was not done.

Under sections 301(d) and 505(a) of the Act, 21 U.S.C. § 331(d) and 355(a), a new drug may not be introduced or delivered for introduction into interstate commerce unless an FDA approved application is in effect for it. There are no approved applications for "Smart Powders Piracetam"
and "Primaforce Piracetam." Your sale of these products without approved applications violates these provisions of the Act.

I have never taken piracetam and don't see why everyone feels the need to be honest, but this is really sad if they do this. There are more uses for piracetam than just rolling harder and it should not be scheduled.

Its a pretty good anti-depressant, and has an effect on ADHD. Its good stuff. The potentiation of certain phenethylamines is only a very small fringe benefit compared to the other good effects of Piracetam.

Just ordered some "serious nutrition" piracetam caps online yesterday. I plan on using them for an upcoming festival next weekend. What have people's experiences with piracetam been? I have read through many supplement threads but couldn't find much user experience. I have rolled probably less than 15 times in my life and have not lost the magic yet, but I'm curious to see what the differences are after using it!:)

I found piracetam addictive and noticed a few of my friends taking it daily and in excess of 5 grams. They were unable to see the problem so there piracetam was taken away. After having it around me and my friends for a year or so i would definatly agree it is a drug not a nutritional supplement.

I figured the rc market would be ragin' with the 3-4 bills taking away most 2c's most cathinones and rc cannabinoids coming down soon..

What kinda sketchy things you talking?
