Hello. I've been coming to bluelight since i was a robo chugging kiddie. Fast forward 8 years and you could say my life is normal. I passed up a SERIOUS monster opioid addiction ( I could typically consume 10mg-20mg fentanyl and sometimes 1000mg ir oxycodone in 24 hrs). I have been clean for ten months now and since I have turned 21 I like what I see in the mirror instead of the drug junkie i used to be, but the one thing I have retained is an epic opiate tolerance. I have a very very painful pilondial cyst that is now to be cut out and I am worried about
1) My tolerance preventing the medicine from working. I know they say "were gonna make you feel good" and only give you like 2mg morphine.
2)They are only gonna give me lortab. How can I cconvince my doctor to give me something epic, even if its only a couple of pills for after the surgery? If i could get some epic stuff like dilaudid I do not care if I only get like four or five pills, just enough to prevent pain after surgery. I'll man it out after that ;-)
My advantage is that no doctor knew of the problem I used to have.
3)If i do get pain killers, I do not want to be addicted again, agonizing and shitting myself.
I have made so much progress and do not want this to screw up all of my progress- For gods sake I got my foot in the door at GE for a MECHANICAL ENGINEERING internship- the deal of a lifetime.
Any insight please- I don't wanna be an addict again or in pain.
