Pilondial Cyst excision surgery, epic opiate tolerance

Hello. I've been coming to bluelight since i was a robo chugging kiddie. Fast forward 8 years and you could say my life is normal. I passed up a SERIOUS monster opioid addiction ( I could typically consume 10mg-20mg fentanyl and sometimes 1000mg ir oxycodone in 24 hrs). I have been clean for ten months now and since I have turned 21 I like what I see in the mirror instead of the drug junkie i used to be, but the one thing I have retained is an epic opiate tolerance. I have a very very painful pilondial cyst that is now to be cut out and I am worried about
1) My tolerance preventing the medicine from working. I know they say "were gonna make you feel good" and only give you like 2mg morphine.
2)They are only gonna give me lortab. How can I cconvince my doctor to give me something epic, even if its only a couple of pills for after the surgery? If i could get some epic stuff like dilaudid I do not care if I only get like four or five pills, just enough to prevent pain after surgery. I'll man it out after that ;-)
My advantage is that no doctor knew of the problem I used to have.
3)If i do get pain killers, I do not want to be addicted again, agonizing and shitting myself.
I have made so much progress and do not want this to screw up all of my progress- For gods sake I got my foot in the door at GE for a MECHANICAL ENGINEERING internship- the deal of a lifetime.
Any insight please- I don't wanna be an addict again or in pain.

I am pretty sure they will give you more than 2mg of morphine......they started me out with 10mg IV when I was in the hospital before gall bladder surgery, and told them that since I was on suboxone (2mg) that the morphine was not helping too much......so they put me on 4mg IV dilaudid instead. Just be honest about your pain level and your tolerance to opiates. They will not deny you adequate pain relief fro surgery, trust me.

Thanks for the replies. Reassurance helps tremendously. I do not have anything against people who do consume opiates but I had a problem and I fixed it. I have taken some oxycodone that my mother coerced at an earlier time from a surgery- (it WAS legaly mine btw) dosed once at 80mg instant release because scarily it was like candy, and got little to no effects, not even a dulling in the pain. Can a pilondial cyst compact the nerves so that it is more neurological or some psychosomatic symptom (as for the pain, the cyst is doctor confirmed.) cause after some time realizing led to a slight decrease in overall chronic pain I am in.
I'm just tryin to get my facts straight cause this surgeon doesnt consider much in post-op pain management ( surgery was fine) and is hard to get strong opiates that I so desperately need for the 48-72 hrs after surgery. Thats why I'm willing to compromise at like 5 or 6 strong pills.

You can always self medicate after your surgery if you need to, but for pre/during it/immediatly post I'd be honest with my doc. I really don't see any other way around it eh, and therefore you might as well get a legit script for at home as well.

edit: when doctors are worried about subscribing powerful opiates to junkies its when they come in complaining of migraines or long term unspecified joint pain. Obviously you need the surgery and need the pain killers so you'll be fine.

if you havn't taken opiates for 10 months, how do you know that your tolerance is that high? Opiate tolerance dimishises way faster than benzo tolerance which can last years... i'm pretty sure you'll be OK with what they give you, if you really arn't, cop some painkillers off the street, but only what you need... if you're getting high off them, you'll be treading down a very dangerous path...

well done on getting/staying clean, and the internship... i think that you've learnt through past mistakes, and you will be able to handle the situation correctly

When I say I have been "clean" you know what that means- abstaining from the most part of consumption. I used to could get 80mg worth of roxi for chump change now its gone to $1/ mg 8o
Which leads me to say when i fell off the wagon back in september i got 8 30mg Roxi's, snorted 2 and plugged 4. THATS 180MG!!!
I got a small rush follwed by tingling, but it brought no relief to my pilonidol cyst. No drowsiness, no respiratory slowing. I felt exactly the same and when I came off i felt no withdrwal type effects. I flushed the other two roxis down the toilet cause i told myself i no longer needed it.

I have 90 7.5/ 500 lortabs im lookikng at as i type this but is linke putting a dab of neosporin on a 3rd degree burn, and even though I can get high off of them I am changed and that has left ym though process. I i wanted a good high, i eould have to take at least 15 of them and get APAP poisoning.

Thats why I know my tolerance is epic. And yes, it was roxicodone not some fake shit so i dont wanna hear it lol.

All i want is like 48 hours worth of dilaudid

God what i would give for a 72hr 100ug/hr Fentanyl patch and some lortab for when i wears off
Fuuuuuuuck
I just wanna move on with my life and get this painful ordeal over with.
