Pills and swelling lips?

Whenever my girlfriend takes mdma pills after a few hours her bottom lip always swells up and she has a really sore mouth for a few days after taking them. Does anyone have any ideas why this might happen? I thought maybe it was down to her being allergic to something that is in the pills, but when she took Mephedrone a few times a year or so ago, she got the same side effect's. It's not due to gurning either, because she doesn't seem gurn at all.

Most people still do things with their mouths when they roll, even if it isn't gurning specifically. Smacking lips, licking lips, playing with tongue, or just clenching.

This is true, i can see the sore mouth being caused by this, but the swollen lips just seems a bit dodgy

If shes sucking on her lip all night it could cause blood to pool there and make it swollen, try letting like 10-20mgs dissolve on her gums, if a reaction occurs shes probably allergic

My best friend had this reaction a few times when she used to take ecstacy. We never knew what caused it (she never used to gurn much either, if at all). I'm guessing it was a reaction to some unknown chemical in the pills, and of course, we obviously cannot possibly know what kinds of chemicals are used in each batch's manufacturing processes, so, who knows?!

May I suggest that if your girlfriend is concerned by her lips swelling, and/or if the swelling is getting worse each time, she should seriously consider reducing her ecstacy intake (as severe oral/throat swelling can compromise breathing). She could also try taking an antihistamine to see if that reduces the swelling.
