Pill tested to contain fenfluoramine

I have a friend who does anaylsis on pills for me he uses NMR UV-Vis FT-IR and GC-MS / HPLC and recently tested a 007 pill which had the logo 00 and then 7 underneath.
The result was delayed he originally found MDMA and MDA in the pill and there was 65mg MDMA and 15mg MDA although he found something which at first he found very hard to identify.
This turned out to be Fenflouramine there was somewhere between 15/25mg of it in the pill aswell as 13mg of benzylethylamine.
I am interested if anyone knows why fenflouramine was in a pill and is this common?

This compound was removed from the US market. It is an 'appitite suppresant' (read: amphetamine) with a long long half life (20 hours compared to 5 with amphetamine) and does not have the same stimulant effect.
Some interesting reading on that rxlist entry. Apparently does something with seratonin 'turnover rates' (whatever that is). My guess is someone trying to be a pharmacological wizz trying to make some 'super duper pill'.
By the looks of it, it is a primary amine, meaning it may in fact react with robadope :)

Back to the point, this is a very interesting finding. I wonder how offten things like this turn up in pills.

checked the pharmatherapeutic compass: fenfluramine: a racemic mixture (L-and D-) that acts as an appetite suppresant. structurally related to amphetamines but without the cns stimulant action.
espec. D-Fenfl has serotonergic effect: serotonine reuptake inhibitor ( just like x). L-fenl most adrenergic.
sold in tab 20 mg. not too expensive.
either they had these laying around and needed to use them to press up the other stuff,
or,
and I concur with the other post ,that they are trying to make a super tab.
my personal feeling is that the comedown on these will probably be harsh, due to the immense amounts of released serotonine. i don't see the use of adding an extra serotonergic substance, caffeine is cheaper and probably more effective.
or why not phenylanaline?
I wish people stopped doing this kind of experiments,
it only contributes to user's insecurity.
 
I must add the comedowns from these pills was pretty terrible and so has been the comedowns myself and many others have had from pills which from their appearence are undoubtedly from the same factory.
The only other pill I had tested so far from the same place contained 75mg MDMA and a tiny bit of MDA although I am definitely going to get more pills from this factory tested and I wonder if they will also contain this.
 
They were good pills... and when a person whom I will not name was doing something with glassware and safrole, he added this too... it does add something, but they are going to CRACK you the fuck out.
You'll roll ballz though :)

I have a PDR from 1995 that states dosages of 80 to 400 mg of fenflouramine have been abused for altered perceptions and euphoria. So it seems large dosages of fenflouramine are indeed psychoactive. Even perhaps MDMA-like.
