Hello everyone, I just want to know if I am the only one who feels EXTREMELY tired when she smokes, even a little bit. Sometimes, with less than one spliff I was breathless after coming up on the stairs... I also have other disgusting effects like Very very very very very dry mouth which leads to terribly bad breath ( or so do I smell it cause I'm high ? ). Anyway my physical effects really affects me ( red eyes too, sometimes my heart even hurt me like they're burning) and it would just be PARADISE if my mind could be high but not my body.. Do you have any tips to be less tired? Or maybe it's because of the type of smoke I use ?
If you have any type of tips to feel better when i'm high I'd really appreciate, even for red eyes I'd love to know how to reduce them, even for other people not to notice I have smoked :p Thank you very much.
Oh and , one last thing : I'm new at bluelight so I don't know if I get some kind of notification if anyone answers my threads of posts something in a tread I have answered, so if a very kind person could explain that to me in a private message she would be an ANGEL !
thank you again and please help me

Welcome to BL! You can go to User CP ---> Thread Subscriptions and subscribe to this thread, and then you'll get notifications when the thread is updated. I didn't put this in a PM because it might be useful for other posters to see it too :)

Pot makes a lot of people really tired, causes dry mouth, and makes people's eyes red. It depends on the strain you're smoking sometimes, if it's a sativa strain versus an indica strain, the latter tends to make people more tired. This thread, Strain Discussion may help you figure out what strain you have, and perhaps find a different one that won't make you feel as tired. For dry mouth, I like to always have water with me when I smoke, but gum/lolipops/etc are also good for keeping your mouth moist. For red eyes, many people use eye drops, like Visine, which can be found in your local pharmacy or supermarket.

When first starting out, it's usually pretty easy for other people to know that you're high, since you haven't really learned how to control it yet...I feel like this is an advantage though, and you should be smoking in a situation where you can enjoy your high and not have to worry about hiding it.

Generally, you're gonna have to take one with the other --- you can't just have a mind high, or body high with most strains of cannabis, there's an element of both in each of them pretty much. I hope this information has helped, feel free to PM me if you have any questions!

1) smoke exos - prefabbly sativas.
2) buy a vape - no burnout usually for me.
3) build a tolerance
4) don't smoke when energy is needed.
5) improve your diet
6)excersise
7) sleep well

So the most part, the better physical condition you are in, the better you can handle the physical side effects of cannabis. I need to improve my diet and start exercising --- for some people smoking helps them get energy and motivated, I know my favorite stoned thing to do is clean. Maybe that's because I'm female, but I know the OP is as well.

^^yeaaa I found myself having much more energy when I started working out a few years ago. Also recently I've been getting a lot more motivated when I get high

OP your symptoms sound similar to someone whos fairly new to weed. You could try smoking something with more sativa but I think you'll see the biggest difference if you smoke less at a time...at least until you build your tolerance up and the high gets less intense

It wont help with being lazy, but I find you get much less cotton mouth, heart beating, red eyes, ect. with edibles.

High-Expectations,

If the spliff you're smoking amounts to same size as a cigarette stick, then it is probably too much for you, even more so for your age.

If smoking gives you problems, try vaporizing. You won't get red eyes, dry mouth, or irritated lungs.

You only need to smoke 0.1g or so of premium buds to get the effects. Smoking too much might instantly makes you drowsy. You should also get filtered cigarette papers for the joint as it prevents dry mouth and bad breath.

Remember, you want to get high, with a moderated dosage.

I see a lot of people saying "vaporizer" as a solution to some of the physical effects...for someone new to weed, like High-Expectations seems to be, it's sort of an absurd suggestion. We all know vaporizers are pretty expensive, and it takes a little bit of reading/know-how to make a home made one...so perhaps some advice other than "a vape is better for you" might be good in here?

Other methods

As I mentioned, try filters, for example, Rizla's. Filter reduces smoke irritants and harsh smoke, paper gives good burning consistency, reducing excessive smoke towards the eyes. Though the technique and skill of packing is another issue altogether.

If I'm not mistaken, the filter filters out some particles you want in Cannabis smoke. Also, once again, for someone who is a beginner, I don't think it's logical to suggest things that even seasoned stoners may find too much of a hassle.

Honestly, i think this thread has run it's course and it's not going anywhere good. I'm going to close it. There's some good advice for you in here OP, PLEASE feel free to PM me or any of the other CD mods if you have any questions.
