Ok..

So I understand that physical dependence is when a user uses a drug to avoid physical withdrawal, and physical withdrawal is when your body shows physical signs of needing (or coming off of) a drug.. such as shakes or puking? etc..

Cocaine and amphetamine (etc..) are not classed as physically addictive.. but i can't exactly see why.. the withdrawal from them are just as physical as other drugs (GABAergics, opiates, etc..) just in a different way? Plus.. ALOT of users continue to use these types of drugs to avoid the withdrawal..

Anyone know what i mean?

Anyone wanna explain?

yes this forum has no official mods.

This is why you should think about what forum your post goes in before posting here. We try to get to things as quickly as we can, but we all have lives and are busy people.

I'm going to shift this over to healthy living (although it may work in Advanced Drug Discussion or other forums...)

obviously very generalized but....

opiates or benzos = shaking, sweating, no sleep, seizures, puking, shitting, sneezing, watering eyes, RLS up the ass etc

meth or coke = bored, sad, agitated, angry, unsatisfied, excessive sleeping, anxious, feeling like your mind is dead.

get the difference? one effects your body.... one effects your mind. i dont get how you dont get it?

addiction is very complicated and not fully yet understood.

according to wikipedia....

"Addiction is a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuit"

RedRum OG.. for meth / coke you forgot excessive hunger and lethargy.. both could be classed as physical symptoms in my opinion.

Can a mod move this to ADD please? or OD? Or a drug based forum somewhere on this site? :p <- supposed to be a friendly =P not that orange fcker ;)
