please could i get opinionz on what people think of my belif that the high of a opiate buzz lasts the same length of time each time. What i sort of mean is that when i use my opiates recreationaly i think theres a limit to how long the buzz will last.I think it appropriate to mention at this point that i have serious O C D . I mean i get a fixed idea how long the effects of my tablets will last and how long they will take to kick in.Is it maybe a case of me over analizing the time frames for for duration of actions for tablets and for how long tablets take to start to the work in the body.Is it just a case that most people all ready know this and just let it sink into there subconcious ? Or notice these things but rationally reasure themselfes if need be that no one experience is exactly the same could i please just have a little reasurance i would be most gratefull respect folkz excuse the grammer folkz A D H D adult and mild dyslexia thankyou!!!

What exactly are you asking? If the length of any given given opiate's effects are the same? Well everyone has different metabolism and body/brain chemistry. So everyone can have a unique reaction to any given drug, opiates included. Aka YMMV.

It seems like you're thinking the OCD is causing you to have a concerns when you use opiates. Are you taking the instant or extended release? They sometimes, in my experience wear off before they're supposed to, following the doctor's directions. If you find that it's constantly in your thoughts, it could indicate you're getting too attached to the opiates.

A drug's noticeable effects will last for different amounts of time each time, which can be affected by a number of things, such as the ROA, the quantity, your metabolism, your eating, your environment, your mood, etc. It's different for every person and even for the same person it's different every time. Try not to worry about it so much! :). If you are constantly telling yourself that the effects will only last for, say, 5 hours and 3 minutes every time, for example, then yes that could have an effect on your experience.

Quite simply....

I mean.. no, it's not the same length of time each time. Nothing in life happens the same way twice man.

Ask if you want a more detailed explanation.
