Phenylephrine?

So, I've searched around the forums a bit, but I still can't find an exact number. I've ben trying to find out how much Phenylephrine is bad for you. All I've come up with is that its lethal in high doses. Just how much is a high dose? If I have a bottle of cough syrup with 5 mg per 5ml and the bottle is 118 ml, is it okay to drink the whole thing?

What do you feel you would gain by ingesting the bottle? Is phenylephrine the only medicinal compound in the syrup?
