phentermine experiences? combination with tramadol?

the backstory of how i recently came across this interesting little drug is a bit weird, but here it goes. so my dad has been playing with the idea of getting a tummy tuck for a few years now and he recently decided to ask his physician about it and he referred him to a plastic surgeon in the area. surgeon told him he needed to lose about 20 lbs. before he felt the surgery would garner the best results. so he prescribed my dad 37.5mg phentermine to help curb his appetite to help lose the weight. after taking just one he wanted to throw the bottle away because he said they made him feel like he was drunk(my dad is a recovering alcoholic). luckily i was there with him when he was making this decision so i asked him if i could try one and he said sure. within 10 minutes i understood what my dad was talking about as it honestly made me feel like i was tipsy as hell, but in a good way. even more interesting is it made me gag at the thought of eating anything, which surprised me because i didn't think it would suppress my appetite THAT much. it acts a lot like adderall in the sense that it suppresses my appetite but after the tipsy feeling has passed it also allows me to focus intensely on whatever i'm doing at that moment. but i did notice one bad side effect and that is the drug's ability to induce rage or agitation very easily. this was over a week ago and now i'm wondering what kind of interaction it may have on the tramadol i take. anyone have any experience with these two together?

Not 100% sure, but I think it would probably lower the seizure threshold. This would most likely come into play only with abuse of either one or of both.

I've had phenternine on its own.....on its own it gave me a lot of energy & supressesd my hunger.......I did take vicodin about 4 hours afterwards & the vicodin calmed me down & was just a chill feeling.

As for taking it with tramadol, ttamadol on its own will give me a lot of energy so I don't know if it would be okay to mix it. I'm assuming it would lower the seizure threshold.........if you're definite planning on mixing the 2, take 5mgs of Valium as well to keep everything in check.

I recommend vicodin with phentermine before I would tramadol but I don't know if that's considered a speedball so it may not be such a good idea after all.........

I've been prescribed phentermine also phendimetrazine which have similar ingredients but different side effects. While it's not indicated on the med check website that phentermine would react badly with tramadol, phendimetrazine mix was high risk for seizures. I wouldn't advise mixing these two because tramadol doesn't play well with many drugs. Always google check drug interactions if in doubt.

I have been taking tramadol for years, about 6 months ago I started taking phentermine. I ended up having 2 seizures (nearly dying on the last one, stopped breathing and everything ),before I found out that there is a serious drug interaction between phentermine and tramadol. Really sucks cause the high was good

Hi I dont know if you'll see this but its worth a try. My doctor prescribed Phentermine 30 mg as well as phendimetrazine 35 mg. So basically I take the phentermine every morning and if i start getting cravings later on in the day i can take Phendimetrazine now im a little bit concerned HA! Also would you happen to know if its relatively safe taking 2 doses of phentermine 30 mg throughout the day instead of mixing the two? I seriously wish they had just perscribed me the 37.5 mg instead. Im doing my own research but I'd really appreciate someone elses POV and research combined. Thank you!
