Misc Phenobarbital extraction

Greetings,

I found that they'res a medicine for sale that contains the following:

ephedrine hydrochloride 7.50 mg/5 ml
Phenobarbital 0.05 g/1 pill
Potassium iodide 0.03 mg/1 envelope
theophylline 75.00 mg/1 pill
Crataegus oxiacanta exto. seco 64.00 mg/1 ml
Camphor bromate 100.00 mg/1 pill

Would an extraction be possible? How would I get rid of the rest of the fillers, and which of the fillers have no psychoactive effects? Thanks in advance.

You wrote "/5ml" and then "/pill"... Is it pills or a solution? It can't be both!
 
I don't think its going to be possible to extract the phenobarbital from that preparation. Its quite obvious that they made it so that you wouldn't be able to abuse them as ephedrine is cardiotoxic and likely also negates most of the recreational effects (if you want to call them that, phenobarbital is pretty crappy).

Is there no solvent or other substance, maybe a few, that I could use to seperate them?
 
I think it would be rather difficult if not impossible to isolate it using crude home chemistry. I'm sure, in a proper lab setting it can be done, but anyone with that skill & equipment is not going to waste their time putting in the time & effort for some crappy phenobarbital. It really is a waste of time. If, at some point in the future, you do come across some phenobarbital I can almost guarantee you'll be disappointed. I had some of the 30mg ones once.

If you need a sedative, they worked but lasted too long and just felt kind of tired & crappy. Soma is a better barbiturate-like drug.
