I just ordered some of this for no other reason that I have heard about it and I have never tried it. I have heard it can act like a benzo, that it can make you cleverer than Stephen Fry. All sorts. Now of course I am open minded and I have only ordered 10g. I heard that tolerance builds VERY fast so I was just going to take 500mg first. Wait a few hours and see what's happening. I have heard it takes that long to kick in.

If nothing I will wait until the next day and go for 1.5-2g which I have heard is a very long lasting benzo feeling. If that works, I will just do that again twice a week until my 10g runs out. Then I will decide whether I found it fun enough to buy more. It is pretty pricey.

So have any of my fellow BLers experimented with this? If so, what do you think of it? Let me know.

Ah thanks. I put Phenibut into the Search and it came up with nothing. I was surprised at that.

Christ, I am glad I only ordered 10g of this stuff. It sounds like it can just suck people in and have them at it every day. Scary. It sounds nice when you just have a small but though. I am going to weight out about 0.7g (700mg) and start there. If that feels nice for me I will just do that on say Saturday and Wednesday and I will have 7 weeks worth.

taking any powder through customs is not the greatest of ideas, can you not post it to your destination?
 
i think phenibut is a waste of time. if you're after a GABA-ergic good time sans prescription, just go order some etizolam. i've tried phenibut at dosages of 0.5 g and 1 g both oral and insufflated (ouch!) and it just made me feel weird. no significant anxiolysis or sedation to note. obviously, i had no desire to really consume any more of this compound. i think this substance has basically zero recreational potential (unless you're very desperate?). i just keep it around in case i ever find myself needing a poor man's pregabalin or gabapentin. speaking of which, if you want to experiment with this class of compounds, i'd suggest either of the above over phenibut; neither are scheduled in the USA and they're both much more potent than simple phenibut.
 
where about's are you going? London?

Post offices require a PO Box to be set up and usually costs a fair bit with a minimum contract.

IMO 500mg will not do anything to you that you will notice physically or mentally. As soon as you start hitting the 1.5g mark you will experience calming (but not really like a benzo) type effects. And from 2.5g upwards you will feel like you have taken a benzo but with some added stim to it, which is really rather pleasant and excellent for social situations. It takes a good 2-3 hours for the effects to begin mind.

I do find any dose up to this point will aid sleep (eventually), but yes tolerance does go up quickly and 3 days AT LEAST should be left in between doses.

This is my own experience and I will leave it up to you to find your sweet spot, but for most people this is in the 1.75-2.5g range.

And well done for only buying 10g! One thing I would point out...I am a recovering (medicated) heroin addict and have in the past experienced addiction to pretty much most things. With phenibut I can have it lying around the house and not be compulsive with it AT ALL. Largely because anything above 3g dosed in one go or over 6 hours makes me sick and leaves me feeling a bit cracked out and very nauseous. It is not so much fun as useful and interesting.

I think the word benzo is slightly misleading when used to describe the feeling however I don't have a better one! But in no way have you just found secret, legal powdered valium!

RE: Travelling with Phenibut.

I have had things taken out of my bag at customs and they haven't mentioned it, but they didn't give me them back, and I think they took them just to be on the safe side, rather than because they believed I had drugs. I am talking about vials of ginseng, harmless OTC tablets such as pro plus or stuff to help you sleep but the tablets were plain white and could have been anything. Melatonin. Stuff like that. I think its a gamble you will have to take but since it is not illegal there isn't a 'worst case scenario' that you have to worry about really.

Thanks. That is some really good advice. I think I am still going to start off low but I might go for 1g of 1.2g the first day or something. That is a post I will come back to when I get it as it has some good points. Thanks.
 
I think 'alovesupreme' is absolutely right.
im generally very cautious with substances - but somehow on Phenibut i managed to puke etc - approximately 10 hours from my first dose and maybe several hours after my last dose. Not fun. And of course addictivity - i read a report of someone suffering the worst depression they had ever experienced as a result of phenibut withdrawal... which is unfortunate as the immediate effects can be quite nice.
Oh, and tolerance shoots up like nothing i've ever imagined.
On the plus side, if an effective anxiolytic is what you're after, Etizolam is a win!
I had the calm patience to listen to the entire 'Lord of the Rings' theme on that stuff - about an hour long - i much enjoyed.
I hear Kanna and also MDAI are pretty laid back.
 
I just started taking it, have done so twice now.

I dose about 2.5g-3g and it gives very pleasant effects, like being drunk mentally, without the physical effects like common with alcohol.

Its difficult to notice initially because there is no physical sign, its all mental for me. I will notice a dramatic mood lift, desire to socialize, confidence, and great music appreciation. Its sneaky though, you feel more ok then you are, you might feel you can drive but you cant. I made this mistake and noticed that dangerous attention issue right away where if you focus on something else for a bit you will start swerving like a drunk asshole.

Yeah so just dont do things you wouldnt do drunk. Basically it feels like a better version of alcohol without the bad shit.

Meh... Etizolam is OK. It's just a short acting benzo. It's like xanax or lorazepam or whatever. I don't think it lives up to the hype. I DEFINITELY can't understand why people will pay double what they would for diazepam on it. That is insane because in my opinion its not as nice a GOOD valium and it doesn't last as long and it's not worth twice the price.

I haven't received the phenibut yet. It'll be Monday now but I will fill people in on what I think (as if you give the tiniest shit). I am only experimenting out of curiosity though and I haven't ordered enough to get a habit and I am not mad enough to end up over doing it. It's not going to be more than 2g that passes my lips AT ALL. And even that will only be reached when I have passed 1g, 1.2g, 1.5g, 1.8g etc. If I find any of those give me a nice relaxing buzz I will stick with it until the 10g runs out.

I don't see myself ordering any more. I am not really interesting in anything long term now. I don't take benzos any more. Poppy Pods are my only vice and I do hammer those when I get a batch, but them but when they are finished it is a good few weeks, if not longer, before I buy more so I am pretty safe on that score also.

i have went through a nice phenibut phase lol...everyone talks about how fast tolerance builds but i didnt experience that tbh..at the beginning i would take 1 gram and it would hit me nicely..it isnt exactly a 'high' but you simply feel a mood lift, u feel more social, sex drive increased, and less anxiety..even after months using it daily, 2 grams would still pack a punch..the 2 main problems i had with it are brain fog towards the end and it butchered my sleep patterns...using neurontin, phenibut is a piece of cake to kick...

the thing phenibut has that most benzos doesnt is it gave me a pro-social boost..it made socializing more enjoyable whereas on benzos i dont get that..also, phenibut increases sex drive/desire whereas benzos squash it in my experience..

I dont see why either would ever be an issue. I would take it in hand luggage so i can eat it on the plan for a more pleasant wait.
 
As long as its not illegal it should be fine. Im not sure how you could make 100% certain though. Perhaps inquire at your local cop station or customs office? I get needing to make sure though.
