Phenibut with Valium combination?

Phenibut doesn't seem to do much for me anxiety wise, but it does tend to get me talking a little more. Valium on the other hand gets rid of my anxiety, but I'm still content to be my quiet self at social gatherings. So my question is, can I mix the two? Say a gram of of Phenibut 2 hours before I go to a 'party', and then 10-20mg valium just beforehand?

Should be no problem if you can manage not to drink very much of anything at the party... (Which isn't going to happen. Just be honest.)

Also, Blah Blah Woof Woof about mixing CNS depressants can be dangerous, but this is in no way the same league as opiates and alcohol....

Just enjoy yourself. If your anxiety gets to be too much for you, there is always outside. Go and take a breather if you need too. People all over the world take breaks from parties.

The only time I had phenibut I was determined to get wasted and took it with temazepam and lashings of alcohol. It resulted in what I imagine to be a GABA overload; I had vertigo, felt sick (I think I did actually vomit), disorientated, uncoordinated and generally awful. A little like when you have had too much to drunk, or too much GBL/GHB.. I would not recommend this to anyone!

I know we always bang on about combining CNS depressants, but there is a good reason for that - they can and do kill people. In this case I suspect it wouldn't be fatal, just unpleasant, but combining benzos and alcohol on their own often leads to disaster, let alone adding in phenibut..

You haven't actually mentioned alcohol, and it sounds like phenibut gives you the same effects alcohol does (eg more talkative and at ease in social situations) so I would pick one of the two. And still go steady, this forum is full of stories of mishaps involving the combining of alcohol and benzos, and the resulting impaired judgement and amnesia..

Cheers guys. I really don't get bad anxiety at all. What I meant was that valium lets me ignore the awkwardness of social gatherings, whilst phenibut doesn't seem to suppress the awkwardness, but it does make me more sociable. If you get me.

I don't imagine I'd be having any more than a few drinks. I often combine valium (not high doees) and booze to no ill effects. So I thin I'll just go for a smaller dose than normal of both. But yeah, I won't be getting plastered.

I would like to establish the fact that that was not GABA overload...

GABA overload results in: Drowsiness, Coma, Decreased breathing, Amnesia, Ataxia, Death.
Blacking out is most common.

Nausea was present by the chemical nature of the compound, not the actual effects. Phenibut is rather toxic feeling in high doses. Alcohol wouldn't help, it also has emetic properties in higher doses.

Haha fair enough, I didn't mean GABA overload in a strictly biochemical sense, just that combining 3 GABAergic drugs was extremely unpleasant for me, in the same way that too much alcohol or GBL is. I don't know much about phenibut, but in my experience it doesn't combine well with benzos and alcohol.

Should have made it clearer that it was anecdotal and not saying it is a dangerous combination (although I stand by my statement that combining CNS depressants is always playing with fire, to some degree)

OP, sounds like you're planning on taking it steady anyway :)

edit: haha WayneRooney, didn't spot your username!
