I took Phenibut for around a month in April of the is year and experienced its amazing quoted effects. I was pro-social, up-beat, euthoric and just generally content with all aspects of life. Granted i did develop a tolerance issue and did make my way up to around 8 grams a day- stupid i know!

Anyway, i thought i'd give it a break for 3 months and go back to it, expecting to get the same effects as i did before. I was annoyed when i literally got nothing...nothing positive anyway. It seems to just cause intense depersonalisation; it's like a different drug now.

So how could it be that what was once my favourite thing to take suddely turns into my worst enemy?

What could be the issue here?

Sounds like an idiosyncratic reaction to it. That's pretty common with newer drugs (dont know much about phenibute but I believe its somewhat new?) Since newer drugs haven't been around very long, a lot of possible side effects are not yet known. Maybe your body is hypersensitive to it now for whatever reason.
