Phenibut questions

I don't have any plans to take Phenibut but I just had a could questions.

I used to take Klonopin and it really helped me but I was cut off (which I think was unfair) and there are certain situations it really helped me with because I have Generalized Anxiety and Social Anxiety and if I can never get more and need a benzo to help me Phenibut might be my only option...though again, I doubt I'll take it, but still curious about a few things:

1) I took 1.5mgs of Klonopin, so approximately what dosage of Phenibut would be comparable to this?

2) Is Phenibut equally as good as Klonopin for social anxiety and generalized anxiety?

3) How do you take Phenibut? As a pill? As a powder? Do you swallow it?

4) Is Phenibut more or less physically addictive as Klonopin?

I never had withdrawal effects after getting off Klonopin even after 11 years of usage because I was on a small dosage.

5) How often can you take Phenibut without getting addicted?

6) What is Phenibut's half life?

Does it last longer than Klonopin or is it more short acting?

7) Am I correct in assuming you should never drink on Phenibut just like most other benzos?

Thanks

1) Start with 1g
2) Of course
3) Swallow it.
4) Has potential to be incredibly addictive.
5) Depends on your definition of addiction.
6) 5-6 hours. Lasting time is dose dependent, I've heard of individuals taking up to 5 grams and being buzzed for 2-3 days. It takes a long time to take effect as well.
7) Yes, don't mix with other CNS depressants in general.

Please use the search function next time bud

It's not really like Klonopin in that it takes a lot longer to kick in, and the effects (for me, anyway) are a lot more subtle.

It acts on the same receptors that certain other recreational drugs like alcohol and GHB act on, so it does have the potential to be addictive, for sure. Withdrawal is supposedly pretty bad although I've never experienced it. I don't know, I never really got that much out of phenibut. It seems to be one of those drugs like Tramadol that some people absolutely love but other people don't really get much of anything out of.

Ok, well in terms of my question about physical dependence, can you, for example, take it 2 days a week without having physical withdrawal?

One day a week without physical withdrawal?

And IF i ever chose to use it it wouldn't be to get high but to help with anxiety, so I'm wondering if people here have found it helpful for anxiety?

Also, how long does it last in your system in the sense that it would be safe to drink again??

I guess these questions probably aren't necessary, but they'll be things I'd want to know if I ever used it.

Start with 500mg before bed
Never take more than twice a week (at 500mg each time)

I've been taking this dose for three years and it's only just stopped having any effect. I feel it's safe to up the dose to 1g twice a week for the time being, but once that dose stops working, I'll stop taking it altogether.

If you take it before bed then how will it help with social anxiety when going out and doing things which is what I'd need it for?

Does it really work then next day if you dose the night before?

I had a couple more questions:

1) Is it safe to drive on a low dose of Phenibut?

2) How long after you take it do you think it's safe to drink alcohol?

Like 5-6 hours seeing as that's around how long it lasts I'm guessing?

3) Does it make your really tired and slow or do you tend to feel fairly normal on it as long as you take the right dosage?

Also, I'm still wondering why one poster recommended taking it at night if it only lasts 5 or 6 hours.

Yes, try it. You'll (hopefully) have a great night's sleep and wake up feeling great the next day. I call it the 'pefect day' drug. You'll probably spend the entire day feeling good, and it may last into the next day too, then you may experience mild anxiety when the effects wear off. But the important thing, and I can't stress this enough, is not to run and re-dose. Don't do that for another week. The important thing is to gather together what you learnt about yourself and the world during your 'perfect day' and put it into practice. Every time you re-dose, learn about how your behaviour is mirrored back at you. There's so much to learn whilst taking phenibut...it's a great cognitive enhancer.

Thanks,

Now I am REALLY interested in this stuff from how you talk about it.

I am still wondering about the questions in the post above you however so if you could get to them I'd appreciate it.

And you say no more than two doses a week right?

How much would you space them out?

You'd probably recommend not dosing tow days in a row right?

Also, does the stuff usually come in pill form?

I've seen it sold in powder and I'm not sure how you'd use it then unless you measured it out be tsp or something.

Also, is this stuff safe to mix with Lexapro??

I'm guessing that it is.

1) Is it safe to drive on a low dose of Phenibut?

I would say it is, I've always driven on a low dose of phenibut - each time - for three years and never had any problems.

2) How long after you take it do you think it's safe to drink alcohol?

If you take it before bed, you'd be drinking alcohol the next day, so you'd be fine. Obviously - be safe - don't take, you know, 3g phenibut then start binge drinking for 24 hours. You know what I mean. You're your own person, you have to tread lightly and see what does and doesn't work for you. Phenibut may not work out for you at all.

3) Does it make your really tired and slow or do you tend to feel fairly normal on it as long as you take the right dosage?

Some folks reporting feeling tired and slow but I've never experienced it. I always take it before bed, sleep well, then wake up the next morning full of optimism and ideas.

I find phenibut synergises really well with lexapro. You're at an advantage there.

I've never taken more than 2g in a week. I spent two and a half years taking no more than 1g per week, either 1g in one dose some days or 2 x 500mg depending on what the week had in store. Best to take it when you need to - you'll know when that is. My tolerance is building now, I need a little more - that's only in the last six months - but it could be due to the brand I've bought (I changed brands in the past six months). Anyhows, I said that once I started to need more than 1g each dose, I would stop altogether. I'm nearing that time now, but I just need to double-check with the brands...my current one may be crap. Dosing tow days in a row is fine, in my experience.

There are pre-packaged caps of phenibut but I've always bought the powder, some caps and filled them myself. You normally get a measuring spoon with brand phenibut, it doses out 500mg so you know where you are.

Wish you the best of luck with it. Always bear in mind that we all have different bodies so never take anyone's advice as gospel - always tread lightly and read your own signals.

I take 150 mg Venlafaxine (Effexor) and 25 mg Quetiapine (Seroquel) daily.

Would it be safe to take Phenibut on top of this (it would be once or twice a month max). I can afford to skip the nightly dose of Quetiapine if necessary?

Any advice appreciated
