Hi, I'm Mbot, nice to meet everyone. I a few questions regarding phenibut n gabapentin. I know there are several very large threads regarding this, but im having a difficult time finding out the info im looking for. I apologize in advance if I went about this incorrectly...however, the truth is that I have an addiction to gabapentin, ive been taking up to 20 800mg a day n I need to get off this it. I've heard Phenibut can be used in place of gabapentin n can help w withdrawal fr gabapentin; which I do experience. ...terribly. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any ideas on how much phenibut I should start with. Any info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
THANK YOU. In advance ?

Hi, Welcome to Bluelight ! !

I had a slight issue with Gaba drugs long ago, Lyrica and Gabapentin prescribed for nerve pain. Are you taking the capsules or tablets? I found the capsules difficult to score for tapering. I was able to receive tablets instead. Although -- I was not on as high of a dose as you. It is indeed difficult to withdraw from. I began having feelings of seizing up when I was on both coming off at one point. I have heard this about Phenibut, might be helpful -- but do not know enough info. I see you have found Basic Drug Discussion. I could also move your post if you like to that or another section for more support.

I do know certain vitamins are depleted with Gaba drugs which might be helpful to start taking for starters. I would pick up vitamin B's and especially Biotin ! ! Maybe some Magnesium and C. Biotin though for sure, if you google it.

There are OTC Gaba drugs as well, but they do not all cross the blood brain barrier iirc.

I found muscle relaxers to help ease the pain somewhat when I was tapering. You can find those in tinctures in health food stores.

Smoky :)
