Do you think that a 500 mg dose of phenibut and hour or so before 20 mg of 4-aco-dmt will smooth up the come up and potentially help against bad trip anxiety? If not can you suggest anything else that might be a good substitute?

thanks alot

Will this be your first time on 4-aco-dmt? Honestly, I don't think you'll need anything to try to prevent a bad trip. The substance has a pretty positive push, in my experience. If you can stand being anxious for an hour beforehand, before you're dunked into the warm, cleansing waters of 4-aco-dmt, I'd say it might even be worth it.

Plus, I'm not sure another drug will "smooth" the come up, if you're idea of smoothing is to make it a gradual ramp up towards intoxication, though I may be wrong on this. Anyone else wanna chime in?

For me, 4-aco-dmt's come up was fast but pleasant. Shorter than a shroom come up, but longer than a DMT come up.

I've used psychedelics on gabapentin, which is extremely similar to phenibut subjectively. It will be effective at reducing anxiety, but in my experiences with gabapentin the effects of the psychedelic were also altered quite a bit. It shaves a lot of the "verve" from the psychedelic experience, which includes the good along with the bad. The overall effect was like stumbling through a padded fun house on stilts -- fun and worth doing for the novelty of it but ultimately just safe n' silly.

Rather than adding another drug I recommend simply dividing your 20 mg in three roughly even piles and taking them at T+0, T+25ish, and T+45ish. The onset from the second dose will be more gentle than going from sobriety to "off base" with the first because you'll naturally have acclimated to it somewhat, and of course that same logic follows for the third.
