(PHENIBUT/ 2-3grams in the am, 1-2grams in the pm)Experience Level:"WITHDRAWAL STORY"

I've used phenibut for about 1 year daily. This is my story of the withdrawals that came from quitting. Hope it helps others, although yours might be worse.

The phenibut I've been using everyday was from liftm0de which I have found has the highest quality stuff. That is sourcing but it's a legal drug so it should be fine right? I tried it as well from 2 other sites different brands, not as strong. I normally buy the small/fine crystals that are HCl. Anyways I started taking it everyday pretty fast and I never tested myself for withdrawal by stopping for a day or two except when I would run out a little early after 2-4 months of using and have to wait 1-3 days for the mail. That only happened in the first few months so what I felt was just some slight semi-constant anxiety, slight sweating, and more prone to exercising more and having excess energy. Then I started buying the bigger 500gram tubs so I never ran out for the next 6 months or so.

Then I went on a family vacation to cali, and I knew it'd be hard to sneak it on the plane with me, even though it was legal I didn't wanna risk it and also I wanted to see how bad it would be. I ended up getting there and it really wasn't much worse than before, except instead of having more excess energy to workout with, I was feeling more run-down and lethargic(but not in a relaxed way) I was always sweating constantly, but not that much, from my armpits. I was more nervous then normal when around lots of people in the social situations and it was harder to concentrate on reading books. I felt a constant lingering feeling of slight doom, like something bad was about to happen to me, but it never did, and it was pretty slight. Almost like paranoia. It was harder to sleep, but not like most withdrawals I've been through, I was about to get 6-7hrs of sleep having tossing and turning for about 30min-1hour. When normally I can fall asleep within 5-10mins and sleep 10hours easily.

That's about it for my withdrawal story, After those 5 days I started using it again, but after a few more months I quit by using opiates and went Cold turkey on the phenibut and noticed almost zero withdrawal symptoms. Although your mileage may very.

Another example of the shittiness of phenibut withdrawal. I'm sorry you had a tough time with it. I've experimented with phenibut, but have never been through anything like dependency or withdrawal as I would always just order the small tubs of 50g or so (I also went through lift mode by the way). After hearing more and more stories in an aggregate sense, it seems that phenibut withdrawal is as bad or worse than that of sedative/hypnotics like benzodiazepines or alcohol. It also seems to produce dependence more rapidly that the previously mentioned substances, although this just be due to the fact that a lot of us here on the forums are addicts and take to recreational drugs faster that the population at large.

Are you completely off of the phenibut now? Also, I'd like to know a little more about how the dependence/withdrawal compares to less obscure substances like opioids. Last question: have you ever been dependent on sedative/hypnotics and withdrawn from them and how does that compare to phenibut withdrawal? I apologize, when I encounter a substance I am unsure of, my curiosity runs wild and I've just gotta know the ins and outs.

Hope you're happy, healthy and well brother and thanks for the well-written and informative trip report. There can never be enough knowledge!

I have heard from some that phenibut withddrawal is worse than GHB and benzos but for me that was not the case at all. Benzo withdrawal can actually kill you and it can linger on for a year or more. For me, I was taking 3-5 grams of phenibut every day for over a year with no breaks except for a day here and there. Then I moved and lost my tub and couldn't afford more for a while and it hit me on the 2nd day. I experienced a pretty intense anxiety and depression, I was quite uncomfortable, and everything felt bad. It lasted for about a week, getting a little better each day, and then I was fine. No physical symptoms at all except for some slight restlessness. That said, it was shitty. I still use phenibut because I really like its effects but I never use it 2 days in a row anymore because I don't w3ant to experience that again. But worse than benzos? Not by a tremendous longshot.
