I have recently started taking zoloft again, as perscribed by my doctor. I started a 8 days ago, and since I did not respond to it well the first time (I was 16) we decided to start on a low dose. I began with taking 1/4 of a 25mg tab for my first week (it has helped with a lot of unwanted thoughts that i have), today i start taking 1/2 a tab for a week, then nest week 1 tab, and then the following week 2 tabs. My problem is I am going to visit my tripping buddy who moved away, I was planning on staying with him and doing a bunch of phenetheylamines (probably 2ce of 2ct7), and molly, and probably some Dimitri for three days (not all at once, but through progression), but I don't want this anti-depressant to hinder me from doing so. Is my dose to high? Should I lower my dose after this week back to 1/4 and start up again after my trip?

P.S. I also started taking trazadone the same day, but my dose ranges from 1/2-2 tabs of 50 mg.

Both of your meds will likely blunt the effects of both psychedelics and MDMA (more likely to outright block the molly). It is conceivable you can still trip while taking them, people seem to have varying reactions to the combo, and I can't exactly say what doses are likely to do what. So skip the MDMA, and probably the 2c-t-7 as well since it's a sketchy one in terms of interactions (it's a MAOI).

You're on these meds for a reason, and they present a risk of withdrawal, so I would not cease use just to trip, especially since tripping can exacerbate existing mental pathologies.

definitely avoid any 2c-t chemicals as that could be lethal, mdma with your meds will most likely be a waste as you wont really roll if you feel anything at all, and tripping may become difficult with antidepressants. the trazodone also may prevent any tripping as it acts as a 5ht-2a antagonist, effectively blocking the action of psychedelics. wait until your doctor says you can come off the meds

You can still trip on SSRIs, pretty much to the same extent as normal. I know this because I've done it many many many times.

The empathogenic effects of MDMA will be blocked at normal doses, although you may feel something if you increase your dose. But it is not something I would advise, because with increased dose comes increased other-effects.

It should be noted that although you cannot really roll on MDMA whilst concurrently taking SSRIs, you can still gain other effects from it, such as it's stimulant effects. It is, after all, an amphetamine, and it also agonizes 5-ht2a receptors (the predominant psychedelic receptor). So it does give you effects, and pleasant ones at that, just not what you may have been originally looking for.

If you only started your "medication" 8 days ago though, you can easily stop it. You will need to wait a week or more to get back the full potential to roll, but you can do it for sure. In all honesty mate, you're much better off that garbage anyway.

However doubtful SSRI use may be, some seem to benefit from being on them for a while. Who are we exactly to discourage that without knowing the full circumstances?

I say either decide to take them or decide against it, but when you make a choice... commit and stick to it, and I don't mean for a week but for long enough to note the chronic effect it has on your mood, behavior and life. During that time I recommend against taking psychedelics or MDMA because even if it is physically safe and without acute consequence they still destabilize your brain chemistry which sort of defeats the purpose partially of going on something like SSRI's. Of course there are enough people who are not consistently abstaining from drug use on meds like this but I think supporting the choice to cease SSRI use like that in an early stage is an undermining piece of advice. Again it is not about actually getting away with it or not but it makes the whole choice of wanting to medicate in order to get better, or fucking around with all of that totally vague.

There is a difference between what options you have and what we deem particularly wise or unwise. Certainly some combinations can be taken, but suggesting it doesn't really matter is another thing.

So considering you likely cannot be convinced to skip all mentioned drugs, I agree with skipping the 2C-T-7 and MDMA, not discontinuing the zoloft, keeping an open mind to the 2C-E and DMT and just accepting whatever reduction or interference in effect there is. Just be happy with whatever you can get out of it, and be content with not getting yourself into bigger problems.

But we also have numerous reports of those who can't attain significant effects from psychedelic drugs while on SSRIs. It seems to vary based on individual factors.
