Phenethylamines and DMT

I've been able to find surprisingly little information about this kind of combination.... I've always heard wonderful things about the combination of tryptamines and phenethylamines. In my admittedly somewhat limited experience, phenethylamines are already pretty fantastic, and the only thing that really makes them better is pumping them up to full out-of-body levels like the tryptamines. In the past I have achieved this with ketamine, but I would be even more interested in the idea of using a DMT breakthrough to top off one of my trips. I honestly can't imagine a combination that sounds better than this.... As of yet, the only other psychedelic that has been able to give me as much beauty, color, and raw, hedonistic euphoria as a phenethylamine is DMT. The idea of taking them together just sounds wonderfully overwhelming.

So, I definitely intend to try combinations like this out in the future, but it's going to be a little while before I have the opportunity. I would love to hear of the explorations of others in the meantime, though! Does anyone have experience with this kind of combination?
 
Yes 2C-B with DMT for example was amazing for me, I've reported on this before but the most memorable effect was that the neon glowing visual effect of 2C-B was integrated into the DMT trip. I saw / met entities like I usually do on DMT but this time they had brilliantly and fluorescently glowing clothes on that they were very exalted about. It was easy to see that 2C-B's actions got in the mix, although in general people do report that DMT effects can overrule other drug effects.

But tryptamines mixed with phens generally have been hit or miss for me. Sometimes they play well together and sometimes they work against each other IME.

DMT does not like 2C-T-7, or that was my experience and after that I never tried it again. Of course, that was a LONG time ago and I was not as comfortable with other dimensions and entities as I am today. Sure, I'd try it again these days.

Now DPT on top of PEAs... was lovely.
 
Solipsis, that sounds very cool! That's along the lines of what I was thinking too... general architectural changes and the like. That certainly makes me more excited for it! And I'm not one to doubt the experiences of others, but I must confess that I am often puzzled by them. For example, it blows my mind when people say that they couldn't tell two psychedelics apart, like LSD and mushrooms.... I've never tried a psychedelic that seemed remotely similar to any other psychedelic to me other than clearly working on 5-HT2A! Which I'll say does breed some similar themes, though the portrayel is quite different.... In my case, I will not be quick to assume, but seeing as how even weed or alcohol can transform DMT into an entirely different beast for me it seems almost laughable that adding another psychedelic into the mix couldn't do the same. Of course, only time will tell. :)

I also have had iffy results with tryptamine/phenethylamine combos before, but I am not deterred.... I'm sure it just takes some tweaking!

morninggloryseed, why hello there. :D I thought this thread might catch your attention. I think you should try it again, hehe.... That combination, 2C-T-7 and DMT, has been one of my long time goals. What you've said certainly doesn't make me want to try it any less, it just makes me think that I better be in a good state of mind when I do it. ;)

Ahh, if only we all had such ease of access.... Trust me, adding DPT to things is certainly on my list as well, but I'm working one step at a time here, haha.
 
Smoking DMT on mescaline was lovely... I looked at my arm and it was like i was seeing "through" my skin, and all these little computerized robot chips were moving around under my skin... really good mix.
 
That sounds awesome. ^_^ I've actually wanted to try ripping off my skin in a lucid dream for a while in the hopes that something like that would be happening underneath it, I just never remember to go for it in the moment. Definitely sounds like a combo I'd like! :)
 
i have always been interested in DMT on MDMA/MDA or 2C-B. i have had the chance to try it many a time but never had anyone around that wanted to go with me!
 
GreenMachine, I have used DMT while past the peak, but still feeling it, on MDMA before. (Never MDA though; that combination sounds absolutely fantastic!) It was an extremely high energy trip with no fear. Visuals were very complex but in many ways flatter than I'm used to. The sexual aspect of DMT which I almost always feel with sufficiently hallucinogenic doses was also entirely muted. It's hard to say much more than that.... I dosed a little too high and most of the trip vanished from memory. However, I would recommend trying it in the proper range! :)

.:Holy::Toast:., the visuals certainly can combine in very intriguing ways. As I mentioned before, I have had iffy results with it in terms of full satisfaction... but even when I found the mindset and immersion lacking, the hallucinations could be quite unique. 4-AcO-DMT turned the repeating spades pattern I get on 2C-I into repeating entities following the same form only much larger, and facilitated a short delirium where I briefly believed my parents were in the room with me.... I would very much like to explore these synergies more! <3
 
Yes, I very much agree. :) On it's own, 2C-I seems to be mainly what I would call a pleasure psychedelic. It can be quite fun, especially in a social setting... but there's not much there for exploration. In combination, I still have high hopes for it. I feel that the only reason I found that experience to be somewhat lacking is because my 2C-I dose was proportionally much higher than my 4-AcO-DMT dose; in retrospect, I feel that this was a poor decision. Reversing the ratio will likely produce much richer results, and I shall certainly be finding out for sure next time!
