I have a bunch of it it's liquid, purple, and it says PROMETH/COD or something like that it says "Generic for Phenergan/Codeine", I made a thread asking for good dose for recreational use, also what phenergan is, But apparently the first reply thought I was talking about promethezine and everyone followed. ?? I drank around 3 tablespoons once and I just fell asleep. All help appreciated, thanks you.
 
i believe codeine doses are larger numbers than say hydromorphone or oxymorphone. i believe when your talking regular codeine doses your talking 50- 60 mgs but dont quote me on that im not sure
 
i just read on wiki codeine page that 200mg of codeine is equal to 30mg morphine ( a medium-low dose) but that more than 60mg of codeine is usually not give at once, and no more than 240mg per 24 hours. so i guess the highest you should take would be 60mg every 6 hours at the most
 
woot alright guys thanks, the only thing i was worried about was because also the bottle dose not say a "Xmg per tablespoon" or something like that you know? so i guess ill take like 2 and see how it goes
 
I would say a good starting dose for codeine is ~100-150mg. 100mg is probably a little too low for most, but Individual sensitivity to codeine varies quite a bit, so this may be enough to catch a small buzz. My preferred dose range for codeine is ~150-200mg. I actually find codeine to be pretty euphoric, albeit short lived (and it causes more itching than other opioids at comparable levels, but it's not too annoying for me).

Promethazine is just an antihistamine. It is quite sedating though, and taking too much can cause delerium and other anticholergenic side effects.

As for the amount of each drug in the syrup? Well, since it doesn't say on the bottle, you can't really be sure. But, I believe the most common ratio of codeine/promethazine per dose in such syrups is Codeine Phosphate 10 mg/Promethazine Hydrochloride 6.25 mg per 5 mL (teaspoon) source. 50ml would therefore contain 100mg codeine and 62.5mg promethazine, which sounds like a good starting dose to me.
 
hmmmmm. I hate to continue this post, but I was thinking about taking some amphetamines(probaly 30-45mg of ER adderall) just to stay awake cause i have to get my sleeping back on schedule anyway, now if I was to drink some of this codiene, would this be a bad combo??

Amphetamine + Phenergan/Codiene, for some reason it just dosn't sound fun, I don't know much about mixing "uppers" with "downers" Advice?
