I have a question - mods..if this should be in a different forum please redirect.

I had mixed up some phenazepam / propylene glycol. In a hectic rush when I was moving I poured the mixture into an empty springwater bottle, but the bottle still had water droplets etc.. (it was not dried out). The amount of water was minimal, but like I said, it was as if I just poured out a bottle of water adn poured my phen/propyl. mixture into it directly after.

This bottle has been sitting for a solid 2 months. Would thi sbe safe to consume? Is there any chance of bacteria build up?

I've had phenazepam/propylene glycol in a container for months at a time, the only thing that scares me was the droplets of water that were added to the mixture

I should have waited for the bottle to dry out but I was stupid.

Let me know what you think.

I imagine it is fine. I know I have touched an oral syringe into my solutions after touching my tongue, and the solution was fine for at least two months afterward. I try not to do this, but it has happened a few times that I know of...

I can't give you a definitive statement obviously, but PG is pretty good at warding off bacterial growth.

the only thing i would worry about is some of the water bottle being dissolved by the PG.. i donno if it can eat through plastic, but if it can that can be a problem. i used to store phenazepam in 30%PG -69% sterile water and- 1% benzyl alcohol in a glass vial and it was good for weeks for IV use and after that i just used it orally, i think you will be fine as long as you're dosing orally.

Nothing grows in PG. You can have some chemicals coming from the plastic...that's why its best to store in glass bottle but I don't think it's a problem unless it becomes one...

How long is this the case for, though? I assumed if this was the case that further preservatives like benzyl alcohol would not be needed (benzyl alcohol is in PG diazepam solutions, for example...)

It takes years for enough chemicals to leak from the plastic. 2 months is not a problem. Now they kind of reduced the amount of PE in water bottles so it's all for the best. If you grab a water bottle and start poking it with your finger you can notice that the plastic is much thinner. The bottle cap is smaller too...pain in the ass to open lol. At least that's how it is in Canada. They now seem to put 50% of the PE they used to put in the past.
