pharmacy fuckups to your advantage....

It's never happened to me, so far. My doctor knows all about my addictions, and my pharmacists probably do too, so I think they're always very careful with me and my pills. :D

haha, congratulations man.

ive been prescribed lorazepam for years--some of the tiniest pills i've ever seen--and i've never been given an extra or been shorted. it's nuts. i counted them every time for like the first 2 years, but i usually dont anymore. my pharmacist deserves props. best damn counter-outer i know. not many people i trust with my ativan.

i've thought about how things would of gone if i ever did find out i was short. i don't know how explaining that to the pharmacist would work out, but i'd be damned if i was just gonna have one less ativan. any US pharmacist out there now the procedure for that? what if someone comes back to the pharmacy saying they were not given the right number of pills?

once i went to fill a script for 25 x 10mg temaz and they gave me box of oc80's

only kidding ................. i fucking wish

I don't think it's really considered a mistake, but when I got my teeth pulled I received Rx's for 40 4mg Dilaudids twice in a span of eight days which I believe is illegal, but maybe not...

i got 30 vicodin, generic, with the red specs, instead of 20. i did ten and i looked in the bottle and god damn, there was 20!!!

It's really up to the pharmacist's discretion, and it depends immensely on what the medication is (if you claim you're short 20 OC80's from a 60-count script, it won't happen), whether you have ever claimed to be short before, and also on the aesthetic impression you give (a sloppy-looking kid with track marks isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt, while a 75-year-old woman just might).

Another thing that's done is recounting the inventory of that particular pill and comparing the result to what the computer inventory has. If you truly were shorted, and the pharmacy's computers agree, you'll get your meds. If not, there's a chance that the pharmacist may call the prescribing physician to see what he/she has to say, but it's highly unlikely to get you more pills.

speaking of oxymorphone .... after my mom got shorted on 3 occasions (once 1 pill, once 2 pills, and once for 6 pills) she got 90 instead of 60 the month after she was short 6. Funny thing was when she complained the manager said they had double checks that made getting shorted impossible LOL. Wow that was a month. oh yea and they were the 40 ers, the biggest

I got 60 8mg Hydromorphones instead of 60 10mg hydrocodones a week ago. I've been happy and content all week. :D
