Hi
I recently lost my insurance (thank you US healthcare). I live about an hour north of the Mexican border and I am willing to travel down there because I can not afford $300 for a month's supply of my meds: Ambien and Tiagabine. I have heard lots of rumors about what is OTC and cheap in Mexico; or how to go to a (low cost) Mexican doctor. I need to get my anti seizure medication and something to sleep (because it wires my brain.)
The US govt doesn't seem to care that big-pharma is ripping me off, so I am willing to cross the border if I need to.
I have heard various things - that Carisporidol (soma) is OTC and easy to obtain in Mexico and that it would be a good sleep med alternative. What about an anti seizure med like Tiagabine (gabitril?). Would someone give me the 411 on what to do?
I am not looking to get high or OD (or get shot) here. I just need to find cheaper meds so that I can stay alive until I find insurance.
Thank you
