pharmacist can't give me a straight answer should of asked u guys 1st

So I am on remeron 15 MG daily, apriprazole 2mg daily, and xanax 0.5 MG prn. I ask the pharmacist if I'd be good to have 2 glasses of wine, she says no. When I ask why she can't give me a straight fucking answer. Sedative properties of thsee drugs? What if I don't take the xanax? I am guessing it's because of that.
 
Benzos and alcohol are a notoriously dangerous mix,they potentiate each other to a great extent and its ill advised to mix them.

That being said,it actually depends on your tolerance.
If you take those drugs daily for quite some time and they level you out/keep you normal and stuff then yes,i believe you can drink 1-2 glasses without any danger.
Obviously,your tolerance to alcohol plays a big part as well,if 1 glass get you dizzy id avoid drinking while on all these meds.

In other words,if you take those meds to function and they do only that,i dont see drinking a glass or 2 to be a problem.
If you recreationally use the pills and get high,nod etc,id stay away from the booze.
 
Pharmacists just tell you whatever the pamphlet says.

for a non tolerant individual, this would pose risks for sure. However, if you've been taking remeron and xanax for at least a week or so i don't see a problem with 1 or 2 glasses of wine at dinner.
 
Yes I am completely aware of the danger of alcohol/benzos , I would skip the dose to drink. I don't use these drugs to get high. I just want to have a glass of wine and I'm aggravated I have to be on these drugs in the 1st place and that just pissed me off even more.
 
You're fine to have a couple drinks then. Just be aware of perpetuation when mixing downers, often the memory gets cloudy and you take one more drink or whatever and a snowball happens leading to blackout. I don't think that'll be the case for you.
