You know - you can just pay for a Harley Street 'Doctor Robert' and pay the price of a private prescription.

Interesting point.

I would prefer prescription meds because it won't fund crime, however I'm concerned about rocking up to a private doctor and asking for a benzo prescription because "I like to occasionally get high" doesn't feel like the best justification, also concerned about having "drug user" on my record.

I've been to a private psychiatrist before about anxiety and was told clearly the gold standard is SSRI + CBT, was also given old school antihistamines for sleep.

is it worth the effort of finding someone who will do a private prescription versus the risk of getting fakes given the DNM prices v harley street consultation + prescription? there's plenty of ways to reduce the DNM risks

Apparantly use of those antihistamines almost guarantee you alzheimers. I used to use them for sleep too.

private doctors regulatory ask to see your NHS records and share their result with the GP, so yes GP record, and unfortunately it's not paper anymore, it's digital and accessible outside your surgery.

Can you refuse this? not sure? though I'd have thought best to provide your medical records unless a good reason not to

again, I'm aware of the risk and my usage is typically once per week, mainly used post stim and or to smooth out other things, not taking them for a benzo high.

Hi all, as some of you will know, I'm maintaining 30mg diaz daily, and have been for two years plus, all this time stashing up for a taper at some point, work is in the way of committing to a taper at this point.

I have a stash of legit Dows and a little stash of Bensedin, I can't vouch for the dose of either though.

Regarding the O/P question, I recently purchased some ELIPAM 10MG tabs, this was a small test order but was blown away by the quality.
I had no time to organise a wedinos test, but they passed all my own tests, one in a glass of water to see how they react, taste and effect.
One in a glass of water was fine, very slow melt to a pile of powder, with slight clouding, less than my Bensedin though.
The taste is fairly bland initially although very dry, then comes the taste.
The effects were unexpected given I've been trying to deal with tolerance withdrawal for some time.
20mg had me blissed for 4hrs before bed, first time I've felt that next morning slight wobble for a long time, ever so slight sedation.

I rate these at least 3mg higher dosed than the Dows/Bensedin, per pill avg, if not more.

O/P + any other enthusiasts should give them a trial.

I'm going to drop to 2 per day of these to see if I can properly ascertain my mg tolerance.

The key points I took from that was that they can increase the risk of dementia, in new users, especially in the elderly.

But they also state that anxiety in middle age is also associated with increased risk, so what are people prone to anxiety supposed to do?

I expect to quit habitual use as a main first priority when I retire, if not before, and this will hopefully be a few years earlier than the state pension age. But I'll need to keep earning and contributing quite large percentages of my earnings to my SIPP in order to make this happen. I actually did the maths yesterday and although I was very late starting all of this, it's still mathematically possible and realistic for me to be able to contribute the required amount to my SIPP every month, to make this possible.

If I loose my job for any reason, and have a lengthy period of unemployment, then that would completely fuck up the plan. I will not be able to retire as early as I'd like. I won't have much money, even if I remain employed until I retire, but for me, I'd consider health and time to be much more important resources than money at that stage. Healthy life expectancy figures are far lower than life expectancy itself. I believe the figure for healthy life expectancy it's around 61 years old in the UK at the moment, which is absolutely shocking imo.

All this bullshit created by middle class publications, stating that 30k is required p/a to sustain a basic standard of living in retirement is absolute bollocks. That includes things like a new car every couple of years, and several holidays in the Med per year, and things like that, which are seemingly considered basic requirements for some.

And stating that people should be aiming to have £1,000,000 in their pension pots, is just aimed at an entirely different class, with entirely different values. I've never earned anywhere near 30k in my life, but as my mortgage is paid off and I don't have any rent to pay, I can get by just fine on a wage that's not very much over the minimum wage. I'm pretty frugal, and certainly completely anti-consumerism. I've never given the slightest fuck about presenting a 'high status image' by leasing brand new luxury cars and things like that. It's just so stupid imo, wasting hundreds of pounds every month on a car you'll never own. Why not save up, and buy an older reliable used car instead, with minimal ongoing costs?

Anyway, the benzos/dementia risk... It's a quality of life issue trade off. You've got to enjoy life and feel comfortable in the moment as best you can. As far as I can gather you're not abusing benzos, you use them. It would be great to live benzo free but honestly if I didn't use benzos I'd still be hitting the booze pretty hard which has far greater health implications.

At the end of the day if we end up doolally we'll probably be too far gone to give a fuck anyway...

Exactly, just going to work was excruciatingly uncomfortable during my 6 months of abstinence, and that was after a long and slow Ashton method taper. Things might have improved more if I'd stuck at it longer, as GABA re-upregulation is an extremely slow process. Plus Autistic folk have high correlations with low GABA anyway, so that explains the great benefits in comfort that benzos provide.

Fuck it, they work for me, my quality of life is so much better, and I'm reducing doses, and my tolerance is not rising, so I'm not digging myself into an ever deeper hole. When I first started using them that was what I did, and the deeper the hole, the harder it is to get out. And it's only myself that can do that.

how does this align with the Psychoactive Substances Act? I'm guessing muscle relaxants aren't psychoactive, are there any other drug types with rec value that aren't Psychoactive?

The point is, we can only study people PRESCRIBED benzodiazepines.

I have said this before and provided references to the twin toxic modes of nitrobenzodiazepines and I SUGGEST that what we see is older people accessing hypnotics AKA nitrobenzodiazepines.

It MAY be the case that it IS limited to the nitrobenzodiazepines as I also noted that only nitrobenzodiazepines (alone) were the most popular suicide method in Sweden so clearly acute toxicity IS a thing but truth is, we don't have the full picture.

I always preferred french made modafinil to the indian generic modalert. The french stuff was a lot less headache-inducing. I used to get some really terrible headaches on modalert - as if one of the chemists had dropped one of his sandals into the vat and just let it bubble into the mix.

But the french stuff costs about seven times what modalert does.

I've got some Modafeel made by Jeerima Biocare PVT LTD, who also make Pregabalin, among other things. Can't say I got any of the side effects you did. Did make me chew my lips a few times during it's active duration, but then I took a couple of them as I was in the gym.

Exactly the same, unless you push the dose, but then the negative effects far outweigh the very short positives.

Modafinil's patent was almost up when like magig we get the more active isomer and voila - armodafinil.

This a process called 'evergreening' where essentially by resolving or otherwise altering the pharmokinetics (such as dose format), you can in essence keep you 40+ year old medicine on patent.

My best guess is that one of those benzene rings will have a para fluoro appended to increase potency then go enantiopure on that one as well.

These have pretty much been the only pregab on the DNMs for ages from HAB pharma India, I'd always thought they were pretty decent but never been able to source anything different. Have seen a few other things from HAB being sold but nothing I've ever bought.

until these showed up, they're still Indian generic but this time from Metamed, will be interesting to see if any different

I also hunted down some Galenika (Bensedin) Diazepam, I've had them before and always thought they were better than Martin Dow but because I don't use them very often it was always a bit hard to really compare them against each other, however this time I've restocked while I still have some Martin Dow left, I must say that the difference is pretty big, both in terms of strength and the feeling of the high is different as well, much more mellow & satisfying - 10mg felt much better to me than taking 40mg of the martin dow's.
