info on peyote capsuls

a friend of mine just told me she stumbled across a few capsuls of peyote, and wants me to try them with her this weekend. neither of us have any experience with peyote/mescaline, so i was looking for some advice. i've searched this board, as well as erowid and other sites, but havent found the basic info i'm looking for.
here's what i'm wondering:
is one capsul enough for a good trip?
what's a reasonable price per capsul?
whats the trip like? similar to LSD or mushrooms?
how long does a trip last?
are there any side effects other than nausa i should know about?
Thanks for any help you can give me. I dont usually agree to take something i know nothing about, so i'm trying to find out as much as possible in the next two days.

Well anyway....whatever you are getting in those capsules is certainly NOT peyote or mescaline for that matter. It is most likely some strange research chemical.
Mescaline is like gold...very few people can come by it..Try to find out what it REALLY is...otherwise....tell the dealer to go fuck himself and sell research chems to some other dummy.
This is how chems become illegal god damnit.
What if you took a bunch of "peyote pills" and had to go to the hospital? That's another bad point for that chem...
Well anyway...give up on your search for mescaline..if you want it go to home depot and buy a Peruvian Torch cactus or something.
 
hang about there for a minute.. this person may have actually come across some mescaline caps.
how full are they and what does it look like?
as for effects, i've heard very like a sleepy dreamy sort of acid, very mellow and lots of visuals.
takes much longer to come on too, ie, 2-3 hours and lasts much longer too.

To be sure...if you happen to have a scale handy....weigh out the powder inside and see if it weighs over ...say....150 milligrams.
Cuz mescaline is not very potent and a good dose would be...500 mg.
 
Well, I hate to say it, but the others are probably right in saying that theres a very very good chance this stuff is not real peyote or mescaline. Both are EXTREMELY rare, and unless you have actual whole peyote buttons, I'd be extremely skeptical that you had beyote. More likely it contains LSD or some other easily obtained chemical.
Real peyote or mescaline are only superficially like LSD or mushrooms. The mental and physical feeling is more similar to MDMA. The trip lasts about the same as LSD... 8-12 hours. If its peyote (rather than mescaline), it can have some physically uncomfortable side effects in the beginning due to other chemicals in the cactus. You will most likely puke.
 
well i ate the capsul last night. it was approx 200mg, and pinkish-orangish in color. it took about 2 hours to kick in. mild visuals, but an incredibly intense body high, more than mdma. it didnt send my mind on much of a trip, but did make me feel pretty dreamy.
so has anyone had experience with something like this? anyone have a guess on what it really was?
 
Certainly no way on earth it was peyote. And even less chance it was pure mescaline.
What did you pay? That's probably the best indicator. Most likely someone selling acid but calling it mescaline so they can charge more.
 
Just because the capsule weighed 200 mg, doesn't mean there was actually that much drug in there. It could be mostly filler.
The 'intense body high' makes me think that you most likely had a research chem (as most of them have body loads)...foxy/5-meo-dipt or 2ct7 or amt are all possibilities...
How long did the trip last?
Did you have any nausea/bad effects?
 
I can guarantee it wasn't peyote, just based on your description of the experience. Peyote will make you puke pretty hard. I have never seen peyote in any form other than the actual buttons, which are not terribly hard to find down south.
Also, peyote is nothing like acid.
Mescaline is something that I will have to hold my tongue about. I thought I had done it a few times, but some information on this board has made me rethink my position about that.
In any event, what I THOUGHT was mescaline lasted for nearly 20 hours. It was certainly not mushrooms, and was nothing like any LSD I had done to that point.
 
You sure the peyote isn't too hard to find? The Native American Church are having to use San Pedro nowadays because peyote is such an endangered species. If you do find anyone offering Peyote whatever you do DON'T buy it. Otherwise you are just contributing to the extinction of peyote in the wild.
 
well as far as price goes, i have no idea. the capsuls were given to us by a good friend. the trip lasted about 8 or 9 hours. i didnt puke, but there was definitely some nausea along with that feeling thats like you havent eaten in three days.
one thing i'm sure of is that it wasnt acid. at least not like any acid i've ever had. much less visuals, and it sent my mind on a totally different kinda trip.
i also know that it wasnt mda. the body high was similar, but more intense than acid, and nothing even close to any roll i've eaten.
so C21H23NO5 or fairnymph, does this sound like amt? thanks for your help...
 
AMT can last up to 18 hours or so...
If effects were gone in 8-9 hours I dont THINK it was AMT...
The effects do sound rather similar though... perhaps it was AMT and you metabolize it faster than most people...
Really though, I dont think youll ever find an answer to your question... sorry

Id say it isnt gold, but a more rare and alien element such as Elerium 113 that was made up purposley for Microprose software's X-COM series. Meaning: your never going to find mescaline, if u did, itd be like scoring a date with Carmen Electra or someone of her social status, assuming ur an average middle class white boy.

"Peyote pills" already are a Schedule I drug, sweetie.
Therefore, if you "took a bunch a 'peyote pills'" and had to go the hosipital it would be no different than OD'ing on heroin and having to go the the hospital wrt. the law as it is currently written.
Back to the subject, I have never ingested "peyote pills," but I once chewed up $30 worth of dried San Pedro Cactus, threw up, and experienced a long-lasting, 'shroom like trip with mild visuals, moderate pupil dilation and "intense body high" much like ace52 describes.
500mg of mescaline sulfate is the upper limit; of the hydrochloride form, an equimolar amount would be probably be less than 375mg. 125mg of the HCl salt (around 200mg of the sulfate) would be at the lower end of the dose response curve for mescaline.
Also, 500mg of mescaline sulfate _should_ be felt 20 hours later.

smoked peyote

My father and I have had a long going argument that I havent been able to solve with the search engine or searching through erowid. He tells me he smoked dried peyote buttons with his cousin many many years ago, and claims to have tripped off of it. I find this hard to believe. I have never read of peyote being smoked, and wonder if he just got a placebo effect or maybe only a little mescaline made it after burning. Can peyote be smoked with significant effect?
 
Mescaline can be vapourised and inhaled... whether you could smoked enough peyote to get a good enough hit, I'm not sure
 
Dried mescaline buttons? Sounds like it would be an awful
lot of coal/ashes and nasty vapors from doing so.
