It is not uncommon today for doctors and social workers to include pets as a means of therapy. With that said I am pet lover, no I don't make love to my pets, but I love them just same. At this time my wife & I have 4 dogs and 3 cats. The dogs were with us from before the pickup truck crashed into our house May 3, 2024. When our house was declared unsafe to live in, our stepped up and let us stay with his family until other arrangements could be made. The dogs, each had their crate and stayed in my neighbors garage until we moved into a rented Rv supplied by our homeowners insurance.

The point I am making pets are important members of the family and in some cases pet relationships are the only type bonding connection people have. Although this forum is designated to human relationships which include sex and love, animals play an important in human development and demonstrations of love.

Yeah absolutely.

I had an experience with a cat. My first cat ever - I used to hate them because they'd either scratch me or run away when I was a kid.

Well this cat was at a group home, skittish, I saw she had only had a bit of milk in a paper dish in the middle of the house full of drug addicts and neglectful staff members.

Eventually I created a bond over months, eventually she slept in my room every night, she really helped me get through those 2 years. The house manager then let me take her to my low income housing voucher place afterwards. She was really my only loyal friend (off of BL) who genuinely appreciated me. Although I was heavy addicted to drugs at the time I believe she helped me keep some strands of human element that I needed to eventually find a job, human relationship, and the things that come with that new stuff.
