Pethidine vials

I have come accross 4 50mg/1ml vials of this stuff and am wondering if it is usefull. I looked it up on RX list and it said it is a morpiate type dru for pain? Is this true? I have never iv/im anything but is this the best way for me to do this drug? Any more advice is appreciated like dosing. I have no opiate tollerance.
Edit: They expiered in 2000! Are they still good?

As long they were kept in a cool dark place, they should be fine. And if I am not mistaken, pethadine is the same thing as demerol (meperadine), so you should have some fun, especially if it is injectable.
 
Yep they are injectable, how much is a good starting dose? And should I iv or im?
 
Guys i really kinda need a safe dose. This is my first iv(aloe too) and my first opiate. Any help?
 
IM---don't IV!!! Haven't had a chance yet to read too much up on this, but read it is injected IM. Here's one link to get you started. Do a google search, it could make all the difference.

From what i can gather, it is often used during pregnancy. It's probably pretty strong if that's the case. The 2nd link has some dosage info. Not recreational doses, but at least you can get a ballpark figure and go from there.

OK-I was wrong. You can IV, but try to find someone on here who has done this before for dosage. If you can't I would stick to the safe side and IM.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to repost the links in this thread, so I just linked to that one. But fairnymph posted a good amount of helpful info in the thread too, so you should check it out!
 
Update: Im stll here. I tried the whole top of the hand thing for the first try. Got it in plled back saw some blood and injected 25mg. Felt not a damn thing! The area around where i did it swelled up and made like a bump. I tried in other spots like the arm but the point was dull and i could never find a vein. I will try again tonight and tell you guys how it went.
