Not on a train, sadly.
I have many.

One of which is when people use Shakespeare's "To be or not to be? that is the question" to express their indecision. For example: "The red dress: to buy or not to buy? That is that question. UGH :!

Post yours and let's all grit our teeth together! :X

If someone uses "At the end of the day" I'm pretty much guaranteed to stop reading/listening.

"At this moment in time" - oh , you mean NOW.

"i could care less"
"the proof is in the pudding"
"cheap at half the price"
then, than
there, their, they're
...

i remember dennis miller asking jerry seinfeld what his pet peeve was and he replied "the phrase 'pet peeve'" :)

yes that is extremely annoying

I dont know if this can be classified as a pet peeve but I really hate it when my friends ask me to buy them cigarettes. I absolutely abhor cigarettes and they all know it, I think its just rude for anyone to ask me to go out of my way to get something for them that I despise so much.

not being able to dial long distance off the call display of a landline phone!
is there a solution to this?
with my cell, i don't have to dial the "1".
but on my landline if i just hit dial off the display, it won't connect.
i have to write the number down and manually dial it.
gahhh :!

most of mine pertain to driving. yes, i have bad road rage. bite me :)

people who don't pull over to the right for sirens (most people where i live just stop right in the middle of the roadway. i even witnessed one person who pulled in front of an ambulance and then stopped. when the ambulance blared their sirens, the guy didn't move, he just sat there thinking they would go around him 8().

people who leave their signals on without changing lanes (or change lanes in the opposite direction as their signal)

shopping carts not put back in the appropriate place. instead they're left in parking spots, in planters, in the middle of the road, etc. (see: walmart)

people who take up more than one parking space. this could be for designated spots but it mainly goes for street parking. the asshole could've pulled up 2 more feet but didn't or they take up an entire space that is meant for 2 cars. last week, some jerkoff took up 3 whole fucking spaces which left me (and other residents) unable to park our cars. i left a note on the person's window. i have found a nifty website for situations like that :)

people who drive 10mph+ under the speed limit. if you're gonna drive that fucking slow you may as well walk. it's even worse when they're on the freeway. i actually encountered some fucktard driving 40MPH (!!!!) on the FREEWAY (speed limit 65). if i had a brick, it would've gone through that lady's window.

people who pull out in front of me (and subsequently drive slow as fuck) when they could've easily waited until after i passed b/c there aren't any cars behind me. when i lived with my mom, this would happen to me almost every single day on my way home from the train station.

i'm gonna have to come back and add more later.

Have you ever considered riding a bicycle instead of driving?

I hate it when naive and ignorant people talk about drugs and say things that are completely false. I can't stand it when drug users don't know their shit, yet they go on and on about how much they know.

nope, cali is too spaced out for that. plus i have a kid and with all the retard drivers that live around me, i'd rather not put her in anymore danger. i rely on public transportation most of the time but there are times when driving is unavoidable. when i can afford it, i'm moving to a more rural area so i can ride a bike and not have to worry about getting run over by some asshole who thought he could make the light :)

i don't know how all the people who ride bikes in LA do it. i always give them mad props when i see them riding around downtown. i would fear for my life :(

LA is so spread out and riding in LA is very dangerous. I'd be scared too. It's almost impossible to get around without a car in that city. Now I understand why you have driving-related pet-peeves. You might should come up here to Davis. It's the bike capital of the world. More bikes per capita than any other city. A lot of cyclists pull their children around in bike trailers. It's safe enough here for that. Very liberating as well.

bike riders on streets that are not intended to be rode on. They're putting themselves and everybody around them in life-threatening danger. :X

People that can't keep their legs or feet still while sitting.
Tapping fingers on a desk, people whistling, singing in public.
People with no table manners that make noises like pigs.

I hate being told to "smile!" or "cheer up!" when I'm just feeling perfectly fine. It would be one thing if I was crying or something, but when I'm just normal I find it extremely agitating. A person doesn't have to be walking around with a massive cheesy grin on their face all the time to be doin okay.
