Hmm well I don't have respect for judgmental ***** so I guess we have something in common...

I have no shame for what I've been doing. It's paying my fucking bills while I don't get hours from my real job. I make money by being a businesswoman, not dancing naked. Guys pay me $20 a MINUTE to spend time with me (and I don't **** anybody). Nude dancing is dancing. You don't just take your clothes off.

All I'm saying is that when you walk into (or even think about) a strip club.. look at what's around you. The "patrons" are sleazy. There is no better descriptor. It's a bunch of guys with such little self worth that they have to resort to giving girls money for drunken entertainment and are just hoping for a fondle or fuck or something. From your post about what you hate about your job, you feel similarly. I simply wondered why you would have ever expected different from a strip club?

Those are the people I hate the worst but the people who cater to them - the bartenders, owners, managers, and yes, even the dancers - I can't help but have zero respect for. It's wonderful that you make great money. I'm happy about that. You don't like your job though. You can justify why you're doing it and how great the pay is but at the end of the day, you're going to a place and being around people that you don't like. I don't respect that. I could respect naked dancing if it weren't for the rest of the job that goes with it. But shit, I don't even respect people that work at bars or clubs...

That's MY pet peeve for this thread. The fact that you can't even express your own opinions these days without being labeled a bigot. Wow, I think deviant sexual behavior like transsexuals and animal sex and other weird shit is fucking weird and gross - but i can't even say that in SLR because Mariposa will delete my posts about it. Oh shit - somebody thinks what you're doing is gross! Call the fucking mods. Ridiculous.

I hate how there's basically NOTHING on TV that's remotely watchable from thursday evening to monday afternoon. WTF is that about? No I don't want to watch Con Air and no I don't want to watch Billy Mase sell shit.

And wtf is with ordering a 150 channel package and having like 140 channels that have never had anything of interest on them? How about offering a 10 channel package that has the shit I want to watch?

TV companies suck.

Go fuck yourself isn't that insulting unless you're telling it to your girlfriend or boyfriend- and implying that you're angry and not just horny.

Whenever I call someone a "fucking" asshole or whatever, I have to pause as it occurs to me that I'm saying they're cooler than me, basically. "That fucking asshole" conjures the image of a dude with sunglasses and a chick on the back of his motorcycle who's basically dripping.

Wait. Thats a bad thing?

Yeah, sure you are allowed your opinion. But the way you responded to Mia was rude. When it pertains to a specific person on this thread, I think comments like that are best kept to yourself. It wasn't as if she was opening the topic up for debate her lifestyle\job or something... I don't think she wants to hear your opinion on that. If you feel so strongly about it, why not wait and bring it up at a different time and not specifically call her out??

My pet peeve is when people think that being opinated is more important than being kind. I think respect for others and keep your opinions non-personal is key for this thread to remain lighthearted and funny as opposed to a huge cesspool of fighting.
 
I don't remember who said they thought it was annoying when people started clapping at the end of a successful flight but that happened to me today and it was so dumb and annoying. Regardless, I thought of this thread. :)
 
People that take a bus for 3 blocks for no other reason than they're too damn lazy to walk.
 
My bad for being rude. Initially I wasn't trying to be rude I was simply surprised that somebody would go into stripping not realizing how it would be. That's what my initial comment was about.


My second comment was surprise and shock at the fact that because I don't respect people who sell out their morals for cash, I somehow can't see past my nose. God forbid I think people should chose things they value like.. I don't know.. not hanging out at places and with people that disgust them and engaging in lifestyle choices they don't want to for the sake of money. To me that shows lack of respect for oneself. How can I respect a person who doesn't even respect themself? That just doesn't make sense to me.

Again - I don't think they are bad people. I just cannot respect the choices they are making.

Maybe its rude to talk about it but somebody asked me what was up with my comment. My bad for having an opinion and for bringing it up.

Was it a smooth landing? I agree that it's annoying, but I also clapped along with everyone else after a landing in Phoenix where we seriously thought the plane was goin' down. Clapping should be reserved for "I cannot believe I am still alive" situations.

There were a couple lightening strikes around the plane prior to landing... but nowhere near seriously dangerous.

My pet peeve: street cleaning hours always being so damn early in the morning. Can't we clean the street at 12 pm so I don't have to wake up at 7:30 to move my car?
