I was expecting a cross between the trippiness of shrooms and the mental clarity of E with peruvian torch but it didn't turn out so great.

I ate 20 grams of it one night. I wasn't happy. I was just introspective and interested in everything. Thoughts?

I also did it during the day, 18 grams. I was happy but not out-of-your-mind-optimistic happy like shrooms, just more content than usual. I felt like it took the disadvantages of shrooms and disadvantages of E more than the opposite... Thoughts? Ideas? Should I increase dosage?

My first time, on 25 grams , I was rolling around on the floor in pure joy :)
2. time, 35 grams, I was bored and didn't know what to do of myself :\

It has alot to do with your mindset (blah blah blah)

But yeah, try to increase your dose. If your Torch is very bad quality, You might need 50 grams

Mescaline wont have anywhere near the mindfuck of mushrooms ime. Sounds like you havent researched enough if you were expecting a cross between mushrooms and mdma.

Increase dosage. My first time I took 28g and had a mild experience. If you want intensity go for 50+g.

The mescaline content of different cactus specimens varies greatly (IE from 30 g of one Peruvian Torch cactus you may trip your face off while 30 g of another might do very little). With "average" cactus 20 g is a pretty low dose. You would have to have VERY potent stuff to get anything more than very mild effects from 20g.

It sounds like youre looking for a more immersive experience so just up your dose! 40-50 g should do the trick.

Pedro / Torch are touted as a light, upbeat trip. And they certain can bring about incredible, synesthetic bliss. But that's not to say you can't get into deep water on cacti. I've had troublesome, heart-churning trips on pedro. You're less likely to have a scary / disorienting trip than with, say, mushrooms, but you may feel exquisite sadness, guilt, shame, etc. It's about what's in your subconscious, imo. If you've got some plaque growing in there, you might have to contend with it. It's a good thing--an emotional purge--that's why they call it medicine.

About the "trippiness," yea, maybe you dosed too low--obviously it's tougher to dose cacti than mushrooms. But a solid dose of pedro will produce AWESOME opened eyed visuals. The things that plant does with color are ridiculous. Here's how a Huichol shaman describes peyote:

"And one looks into the fire….One sees the fire in colors, very many colors, five colors, different colors. The flames divide—it is all brilliant, very brilliant and very beautiful. The beauty is very great, very great. It is a beauty such as one never sees without the peyote. The flames come up, they shoot up, and each flame divides into those colors and each color is multicolored"

for more accurate dosing and to avoid any nausea you should extract the mescaline, It only involves a few commonly available solvents, and a bit of time and patience, there are plenty of teks on how to do it.

I am pretty curious about mescaline and am probably ordering some powdered cacti in the near future for my own extraction.

I used to not think I could do extractions safely but when I extracted DMT I realised how all you have to do is gain a small understanding of chemistry via reading about the particular extraction you are going to perform and the patiently go through the procedure with propper amount of care and focus.

It really is THAT easy.

If i want mescaline it is coming from a chemist..... I tried the Torch and others and they all sucked... never had a button... here those are the best.... but not so easy to find near NYC

peruvian torch- YMMV especially with peruvian torch- mescaline content varies very widely. Extracting the mescaline is a way to be sure to trip- you can see how much you're REALLY taking.

Also, if you ever get the chance to do peyote- do not pass it up! If you want to get the best out of it, it is best to treat it as sacred medicine--not a drug.
