perth meetup...

dammit dammit! this sucks!
i'm actually *in perth this weekend* and the meetup's at an $80 show.. PLUS all my friends are going anyway, and i still cbf for that much money :(

These guys were pretty cool, I was chillin on the steps thinking about how cool my life was while they were on, props to aussie hip hop!

Cypress Hill -
These guys fuking rocked!!! That big ass budda with the mull leaf on his belly spun me right out. We saved a fat ass gheto joint to pass around during their show, it was killa. I left about 30 mins into their show cos my mate rang up and went balistic over ben sims in the global arena.

Ben Sims -
Fuking cranked!!! Was going hardcore for the first half of his set but then started to get a bit boring, so i left and talked to 200+ random ppl. Im hoping that atleast one of them was a BL.

Freq Nasty -
OH MY GOD!!! Freq Nasty is officially the coolest looking dude in the world! He has the craziest dreds I have eva seen. Not to mention some badd ass skillz on the decks. I couldnt believe how cool it was grooving to Freq Nasty on the grass under a beautiful night sky. After his set I got him to sign my hat! My mate told me that he used to have this one big dred and he would place it down ontop of a record to slow it down. Now That Is BaDAsS!!!

Carl Cox -
WHOA!! Carl Cox played one of the most solid sets I have ever seen. His skills were fuking incredible. I dont know what else to say about him except that his set was simply amazing.

Well theres my thoughts. I saw alot of the other ppl playing aswell but I cant really remember anything about them or how good they were. hehe.

Man, Global was THE Perth meetup hey, and I don't mean BL Perth meetup.
I spoke to about 9000 of the 10 000 people who went there I swear.

I stayed and watched the end of cypress it ran over time and i missed meeting everyone at the meeting time. Sorri guys still managed to find some of you randoms running round! =D

yes yes yes yes and double YES!!! please let there be a BL perth meetup at Psyber Solstice. i didn't make it to Global(money gone from earthcore). plus, i'm a doofer at heart, so global didn't really interest me too much!

i am very keen to meet some perth bluelighters, and to have a stomp with you guys under the stars, to the best music in the world!!!

hahaha yea i forgot about the escalators!!! I had the time of my life just riding up and down in a loop!! up...down...up...down...up....down...up...down....hehehe, eventually the escalator stopped while we were half way up, so we just stayed where we were and hung for about 15mins while they were fixin it. And then i fell flat on my ass when it started up again.

I'll be up for either pre- sunshine or zone3. Zone3 will also tempt those who are not ravers into coming.
 
Ok kids, just a reminder to keep most of the event-related chatter to the threads in events, you can use social as a place to discuss ideas about meet-ups and toss around places and times but once a date has been set we usually transfer the thread over to events.

Hmm and whilst I’m in here perhaps there should be some sort of thought for something around the 22nd feb ;) I know it’s a while off but it’ll get ya thinking.
